Tri Village only loss to Franklin Monroe (18-4 regular season). Crestview is 27-0 #1 in the state.

This is game #4, the last game Thurs. night at 8:30.

Thoughts, predictions?

Looking at Tri-Village schedule----i see they played New Bremen and of course Marion.

I think on paper Crestview is about 10 points better!

Game of the year in D-4...to bad its not for the state title. I have watched Tri-Village 2 times against Fort Loramie and Troy Christian and they are very good...their big weakness is they are not very deep on the bench. I think Crestview wins by maybe 6

This will be a great game...........Tri-Village doesn't play a strong schedule, but I think they will give Crestview some trouble......I would not assume that Crestview wins this game!!!!!!!

My pick for D4 title game was Tri-Village over Harvest Prep so I guess that means I have to pick Tri-Village over Crestview. Will compare this to.the 2009 D6 state championship football game between #1Delphos St. John's and #2 Norwalk St. Paul. Everyone knows DSJ played the tougher schedule during the regular season. But Norwalk St. Paul had a lot back from a team that fell short of expectations the year before, much like Tri-Village who was favored to come out of their regional last year but got upset in the semifinals. I know I'm not giving any X's and O's its two different sports but I just have that feeling about this game. Another similarity St John's beat main rival Marion Local in the semifinals to get to the championship game and I think was a bit over confident. Crestview just beat their rival Wayne Trace in the regional final. The difference is Crestview didn't win a championship last year so they shouldn't be overconfident unless like St. John's it's because they played a tougher schedule and think they can just walk on the court and win. Enough similarities though that I'm taking Tri-·Village to win on a quarterback sneak with 5 seconds left :-). Again I know I'm not giving a reason because of players or X's and O's but sometimes other factors are what decides the game between 2 evenly matched teams. Besides I know you guys will discuss strategies and player match ups better than I could since I haven't seen either team.

I have no doubt that Tri Village is good, however, Crestview is very good. I feel that Crestview can defend better than any team in division four and that will be the difference. Too much speed and athleticism and grit from the Knights. Go Knights make the NWC proud.

Tri-Village is going to have to be the best team Crestview has faced all season....and that's saying something.
Crestview has completely shut down some of the best offensive teams this side of the state in LCC and Wayne trace (3 times). I'm not saying Crestview is better at all. I have not seen Tri-Village play, but Crestview will play better defense than Tri-Village has seen all season.

Bluebuckjays: I don't follow your logic whatsoever. You're basically comparing DSJ to Crestview and Crestview is NOT way over confident....and they have fell short of expectations...losing the past 2 years in districts in very very close games to St Henry. St Henry, Ft Recovery, and Crestview were all considered plausible teams to win that district the past 2 years. Your logic is completely stretched beyong comprehension. If you want to say Tri-Village is better and will win....then just say that b/c your argument otherwise is not making sense at all.

No I'm saying the difference Crestview should not be overconfident because they haven't won a title in the last couple years like DSJ had. and I don't think they're over confident and even if they are you Knight fans and coaches have a few days to change that. But some people fall into the trap of comparing schedules and most times the team that is battle tested I would say wins the majority, but the DSJ-Norwalk game was not one of them. Guess I'm saying that this will be the same thing, Crestview definitely played the tougher schedule but just feel this is Tri-Village year. I guess some people like to call it destiny or fate. Like anyone's prediction it could be right or it could be wrong.

I find it weird that you (bluebuckays) are even talking about Delphos St Johns and Norwalk St Paul.
Nearly every conversation you have on here is about or linked into Delphos St Johns.

Frankly, it's just weird.

Just trying to draw a comparison and since I'm I St. John's fan from afar and they have a rich history in several sports that is logically where I draw my comparisons from.

Flounder---

Thanks man. I hope we can string together just a few more wins!! Big test coming up on Thursday night. I know people at Crestview are very thankful and appreciate to have this opportunity again to play for a title....and not just in softball all the time.

Will you promise that every winter will be as cold and snowy as this past one? I'm sorry it may not be over with yet :-) And that may be happening anyhow, a return to beautiful Ohio.

OK. when I'm trying to draw a comparison I will compare it to a school from California or Texas that nobody knows anything about.
