I'm just defending the guy because you're hating on the guy so hard. Not related just like seeing successful coaches work their way up.
Instead of bashing Davis and his accomplishments do what myself and several others have asked over and over what resume is better? Give us serious names of people who are qualified to run a HIGH SCHOOL D1 program with better resume. Anybody not a current HS head coach or former head HS coach is not serious for a D1 job in my opinion.
I was NEVER attempting to BASH DOUG DAVIS. I DO NOT like people posting on here as if they are stating facts regarding Coaches records as if they are factual... example JBball stated Davis turned Delphos Jefferson into a 14-16 win team per year and Bath was a good team the last 6-7 years because of what Davis has done. If someone reads this they think that is TRUE. I simply listed THE FACTS which were meant to show the actual records of the last 5 years at Delphos Jefferson and the record year by year at Bath. As I have stated previously in this thread I have not seen ANY of Doug Davis games in person. I am using the FACTS of the records WHICH SUPPORTED another poster on this thread that said he was benefiting from a few good classes of players. I AM A SUPPORTER OF LIMA SENIOR BASKETBALL. I want what is best for the overall program from now and into the future. I do not want LIMA SENIOR to simply go after "the flavor of the month" because he is as you put "Nobody hotter than Davis right now" CAN YOU GIVE ME factual information that shows me that DOUG DAVIS has instituted a developmental program at the lower grades at Bath to build a program? CAN YOU GIVE ME examples of players that he was instrumental in helping to develop into better players? I do not want to have another JBball come on here and say that Sullivan could not dribble a ball until Davis worked with him or whatever. I have and will continue to find out any information I can both GOOD and BAD about anyone that is mentioned as a "potential" candidate for the next Coach at Lima Senior.
NOW WHO should Lima Senior go after?????????
I made some calls and sent some texts to my connections in Lima. THE BIGGEST CONCERN AND
NEED for the next coach at Lima Senior is to be able to connect with the players. Just because someone is an Alum DOES NOT mean they will understand and connect with the players. Coach Allen is an example of that. Two Coaches were mentioned and texted to me from numerous people as the MAIN COACHES that LSH should try to get. Now will LSH go after them and will these two even want to come and coach at Lima Senior?
The two coaches mentioned were:
Paul Whitney
Quincey Simpson
I think it would be interesting to see if these two would be willing to come back............what for it............ WHAT IF THEY BOTH CAME BACK to coach in the program?????
