With the tournament starting in this area tomorrow night and having started already in other parts of the state let's do some predictions.
D1-Mason, Perrysburg, Twinsburg, Reynoldsburg Champ-Mason

D2-Lima Bath, Kettering Altar, West Holmes, Akron SVSM Champ-Kettering Altar
D3-Africentric, Sugarcreek Garaway, Versailles, Doylestown Chippewa Champ-Versailles
D4-Zanesville Rosecrans, Holgate, Reedsville Eastern, Ft. Loramie Champ-Rosecrans

Know I should probably have picked West Holmes in D2 and Berlin Hiland in D4 but I don't want them to win since they have close to as many titles as DSJ. And maybe I should have added burg to Mason since my other three teams I picked to get to the final four in that division end in burg :-) And I know Twinsburg is not having as good of season as they have had in years past but almost every few years it seems like an unranked team that has a good tradition makes a surprise run to the Final Four, like West Holmes a couple of years ago. Wanted to pick Archbold to get to the final 4 but they're in the same regional as Columbus Africentric. Versailles did not overwhelm a lot of their opponents and got beat bad by Bath so I'm not really confident about them but will stick with it. If not them it was going to be Africentric in D3.

Versailles has had several injuries (like their boys team). Don't know if they have enough in their tank to make it to State! I don't think one of their players will be back for tourney.

I was thinking those players were going to be back. May change this.

I'm going to stick with Versailles in D3. Don't think they will be challenged until the regionals when they would possibly play Miami East, who they lost to by 2 points the other week at Casstown. If they get that far maybe by then the injured player(s) would hopefully be back. They are very balanced in scoring but the downside of that is they don't seem to have more than one go to player. Thought about switching Archbold to win their regional instead of Africentric and then picking Archbold to win the state championship but I will stick with my original picks.

Fort Loramie will repeat in D4. Unbelievable team.

They had a good game tonight. Thought very hard about picking them to win it all again but I decided to pick either Berlin Holland or Zanesville Rosecrans to win D4. Those teams will potentially play each other in a district final. I picked Rosecrans. Would like it if Ft. Loramie or a MAC team(Minster, Marion Local) would win D4 but I'm sticking with Rosecrans.

D4:
Ft Loramie
Berlin Hiland
Reedsville Eastern
Convoy Crestview

Hoping Crestview can get back to the final four...been since 2009 since their last Final Four.

Ft Loramie or Reedsville Eastern to win the whole thing

Yes Crestview should be heavy favorite to come out of that district and the only teams I could see in the regional that would challenge them would be Holgate or Carey. 2009, wow that's an eternity :-) Funny how schools that have been to state a few times get antsy if they don't get down there every 5 years or so. St. John's girls haven't been there since they lost in the state championship game in 2007 to Jantel.Lavender and Cleveland Central Catholic. Hopefully can get back there in the next couple years.

What about the OG girls they beat Archbold at Archbold and won convincingly.
They play team ball and pressure Defense.
Their only losses i believe were to Bath and LB
Bath game was very close and LB game was a bad night.

I'm not antsy at all and thanks for the hidden slam from a St John's fan, "funny how schools that have been to state a few times get antsy."
I merely stated that it's been since 2009 since their last final four. That's not antsy or anything. Crestview girls, while they haven't been to state but a handful times over their history, are one of the most consistent programs in D4.

P.S. Crestview softball program has shown us what a real program is so we all are very well versed....but thanks for the expertise.

Not meant to be slam. Just know that alot of schools that have been to state multiple times think they're going to get there every year and if they don't get there for 5 years or more they think it's an eternity. Very hard to do.

They who won their first two games of the tourney convincingly, but of course those were against lowly regarded teams. Also keeping an eye on Fayetteville Perry in that region. They scored in the 90s in their first two games and held both of their opponents to 10 points or less I believe. Again their first two opponents were probably really weak. And not sure of level of competition they played during the regular season. Will stick with Ft. Loramie to come out of that region because of their tradition and because they played better competition I believe than the other top teams in that region.

OG girls are d3. They will be a tough team to knock out in districts, possibly regionals.

The winner of Hiland/Rosecrans will go to state from the NE... Hiland may not have the size to win it all, but their defense will keep them in and a solid shooting night will negate mismatches. Statistically they do not shoot well at the Schott.

I'll take Newark Catholic (unless there is a recent injury I've overlooked) and their two-headed post monster over Reedsville Eastern and their Dayton recruit. Unless she's learned to be a bit more disciplined than last year, which is very possible, look for her to try to shoulder the load and be unable to single-handedly put them over the hump at some point.

I'll be shocked if West Holmes doesn't win D2

The path to Columbus for Crestview looks promising. The only two possible obstacles I could see Crestview having a hard time getting through will be Leispic and Holgate (assuming of course those teams advance). The regional matchups could be unpredictable but I don't see any team from that Gibsonburg or Shelby District knocking off any of those 3 teams that I mentioned.

I have not seen Holgate or Leipsic this year.

Well then let's hear the predictions of the experts and the people who know girls basketball before the regional finals. Just got home from work and saw two girls scores listed for last night. Never claimed to know all the players or names but know a lot about Ohio High School girls basketball even though I haven't lived in that area for years. Keep up by reading on the Internet, listening to games and watching some on websites and on satellite. Know more about the history than current area players but pay enough attention that I probably know a lot more than alot of people who live in that area. Bonus point to any of the expert if they can tell me who Cindy Noble was without looking it up. The poster basically said what I had said earlier, that the winner of Hiland-Rosecrans should win D4. And she didn't name any players names she was just talking about 2 headed monsters, what about Gremlins and Goonies :-) Besides not many people posting new topics on girls basketball so I thought I'd try it. My expert boys Final Four predictions: will be coming tomorrow :-)

Leipsic has a great blend of size down low with gerdeman and nadler (both 6'2) and speed with haley gerten as well as shay Moorman shooting from the outside.

With their defensive pressure this may be a good chance as any for coach kreinbrink to get to state as any. Excited to call them at OG tomorrow again.

Finally, some love for my Lady Vikes. Thanks Mysterio and Tiger. I haven't said anything because of the dreaded jinx. But they are 19-3 with their only losses to state ranked Liberty Benton, Holgate(both close games) and an early season loss by about 20 to state ranked Ottawa Glandorf.

They do have good size, team speed, and a few girls that can hit the three. They move the ball extremely well on offense also. The only things that concern me are 1. sometimes they get going too fast and then tend to turn the ball over and 2. they haven't lost since Dec. 19th.(I hope the don't get complacent) I'm pretty sure Gary won't let this happen.

If the seeds hold true Saturday, it will be a great district with Leipsic, Pandora-Gilboa(who gave Carey 1 of it's 2 losses this year) Crestview, and Ottoville. Leipsic has all the elements to make a deep tourney run, but they have to put it all together every night from here on out because now each game is winner take all.
