I did see a group of our assistant coaches sitting together down below me last night at the game. I did not talk to any of them but had just heard from some other people at the game some might not be back. I really hope Patterson will stay on as an assistant because these kids really like him and he could play a big part in keeping this thing moving forward, plus his kids are playing sports over here and seem to like it.

Agree Patterson staying would be a big coup.

Was going to go to game last night but ended up seeing the lego movie with my girls. I was wondering what the atmosphere was like between the 2 sides.

It was an amazing high school basketball game atmosphere.
The energy was felt as soon as you walked into the door and lasted until the end of the game
I do think that the tu-tu and Frye head were a bit much and should have been curtailed but it did add to the scene.
Coach mentioned that was the most intense game he has been involved in

We have heard about the offenses these coaches run but what are their defensive schemes?

Inselman is no longer a candidate for the job. I would like to hear what defensive schemes these coaches run does anyone know anything about this?

I do think Moyer is the favorite to get this job and his 58 game regular win streak is very impressive. Has he coached anywhere else besides Bucyrus Wynford? Success at smaller schools does not always translate over to bigger schools. Example is Mike Fell had great record at Columbus Grove left Grove which is a smaller school and a lower division went to Celina and in 5 or 6 years was barely 500 if that. I believe he only had 2 winning seasons, leaves Celina goes to Ada and he had a great record there several playoff trips but again Ada is a smaller school in a lower division and sometimes just having a couple good athletes at these lower levels you can win a lot of games. How much research has this hiring committee put into all the candidates, the leagues they coached in. And I don't like the fact that 3 guys who are on this committee are basketball guys making football decisions.

Maybe we all need to just go to Frye's house and sit down with him and ask him to come back.

Fell also went 5-5 his first year in the TRAC with a bismal lima senior program who was winning one maybe two games a year...

Moyer is a very interesting candidate with his record but coaching in the lower divisions. Nice to see he will open it up on offense just not a pure wing t.

Why would any successful coach from a big school want the Wapak job? If nothing else you do have arrogance on your side.

Your love for Frye really makes me sick
He won some football games while he was in Wapak ...so what??
Those wins came with a downside and if you don't get that you will NEVER understand
There are many coaches that can win, lead our kids and not have that downside
Honestly.. I feel that he s@#$ on this community before he got here, s@#$ on his while he was here and s@#$ on us when he left

Look at how many 10-0/9-1 seasons Wynford had against the number of first round playoff exits. Winning 58 in a row is very impressive, but I think includes a perfect storm of mediocre competition and a string of good classes. I am not saying he isn't a good coach because I've heard good things. But the lack of playoff success is a bit alarming for all of the reg. season success. They also made what playoff runs they did have outside of region 18.
Always a watchful eyes on those Tiffin Calvert Senecas, Marion Local Flyers, Fort Loramie Redskins , New Albany Eagles.

I agree, won games at wapakoneta but disrespected the community and kids the whole time. Was always dogging the kids and community and his actions prove so. I think it was more about Doug frye than the wapak football program.
