Everyone knows how much he would love to stop the LB Eagles from winning an outright BVC crown. Just wondering what people think he may throw at LB to beat them Thursday. What new wrinkle might he try? Atown should be very strong contender the next few years! They have some very nice young talented ladies!

I'm more interested in why Arlington seems unwilling to make up a postponed game with New Riegel.

They never try to get too tricky. I do love watching these staffs go against each other , it's pretty intense .

Donny I can assure you that we are just ducking your team, because anyone who knows our coach knows he is just not that competitive (sarcasm) ! 4-1 against the jackets since he took over and not really competitive games.

Didn't say you were ducking just want to play the game to help get ready for tournament this year and would think you would want the same . Not everyone on our schedule is up to Arlingtons level or has that kind of tradtion. So we look forward to playing the good teams when we can.

Have to admit though this board was a lot more fun a couple of years ago when Arlington was killing everyone on their way to a state championship. Postplayer And a few others were on here all the time and it actually felt like some fans really cared and were proud of their teams. Miss that.

This COULD be a decent game, but I see the Eagles in this one. They are rolling. Arlington will dominate the next several years, they are loaded with young talent, while many of the other league schools are struggling. LB has scoring, defense and can play fast or slow. Difficult matchup for most area teams.

Taking LB. Wasn't impressed with Arlington this year. Beat the teams they should beat and lost to USV. They are younger but ballhandling is pretty weak. The posts can be dominant but never in at the same time and seem to have trouble getting them the ball when I saw them. They will miss Heaster, next year she does a lot for them. Although, if they (or anyone) could get LB in some foul trouble....

Not the case Donny...look at the open dates for both schools and find a date that works. Arlington would love to play TC or NR - good competition and not in the league. We need to play good teams and if you know anything at all about Arlington basketball - we welcome good competition and refrain from the poor teams as we update the schedule. Doesn't look like we will get it in though based on open dates for each school.

Donny - yeah, I was on here all the time in past years however with a daughter playing, I prefer to stay away and let things take care of themselves. There will be much to cheer about in the next 3 years in Arlington, and it is best for me to stay away from RC on the girls side. Read my posts this season - probably less than 3 on the girls thread if that many and only a few on boys threads.

In fact, rarely even read the girls posts for this very reason. Good luck with your girls this year - I know your team is solid this year, maybe you can make another run.

Post... its my DD last go around just wanted her to have the opportunity to play against the best she can as im sure all Arlington parents feel the same way. My question was brought up because I heard a date was available but Arlington said no we want to keep that date open. Good luck to you and your daughter in the years to come enjoy them they will go faast . Seems like just yesterday we were playing in the regional finals against you guys.

Plus its been pretty boring on here someone had to stir things up just a little. And it looks like I tickled a few of the right spots.

When I asked the powers that be I was told that there is one date available to re-schedule right now and it had to be saved in case a make up game was needed for conference game(s). Seeing as how the LB game tonight is our last conference game and it appears as though it will be played, maybe the last open date can be used to reschedul NR
.

That makes sense . Never did think they were actually avoiding us. Even though we are uncompetitive most of the time it is a game I would like to see happen.

Congratulations Arlington JV basketball team for your undefeated BVC season. I did notice quite a few varsity players, even 3 starters helping guide you to your perfect season. Arlington's varsity team scored 24 points tonight. 10 in the Varsity game and 14 in the JV game.

Arlington's JV team scored 7 points on their way to their 8-0 BVC season.

I think I counted 13 players on the roster. Even if you take the 5 varsity starters away that still leaves 8 girls to share the JV minutes.

One of the stranger nights of basketball I've seen in a while!

1 foriegn exchange student , take out seniors and we are doing whatever we can to get by. Not like we are playing a bunch of juniors on JV. Did the girls you are so concerned about play too many quarters tonight?
