Well i would have to say that LCC will be one of the teams at the top of the NWC , but i wouldnt say they are the best. Things never unfold the way they seem they should. I think that no home game thing will play a factor.

3. Ada

How come no one is talking about the 2 Van Wert County teams? Crestview always has something to say in deciding the NWC, and Lincolnview has some talent too. I see LCC and Crestview battling it out - possibly along with whoever emerges from the next level between Ada, Paulding and Lincolnview. I don't see Grove, Jefferson, Bluffton, Spencerville oe Allen East being contenders unless one of these has come up with a dominant pitcher.

LCC is always a force in baseball and that should continue this year. Crestview might be able to make a run at it with Orsbon leading the way (heard he was gettin looked at by a couple major DI teams, just curious about that). Bluffton has hired a new coach in Ben Thaxton who was an assistant at Lima Senior for the past few years but i dont see many new things happening NOW for the Pirates- pray for next season. Wietholder will be a bright spot for them and Fruchey at catcher may do a little damage here or there. I would not go so far to say Eiserle will make a huge impact in the pitching region though, saw him get lit up a couple games last year... wasnt pretty. I heard he did well during the summer but who knows.

yeah...i'm not sure about eiserle either...not very mentally tough...but they do have an assistant coach in jones who led the nation in triples for florida A+M in 1998...i think they will get a lot of help there

Eiserle has been working with his Legion Coaches from Van Wert. Im sure he has improved. and Fruchey has attended some camps. we will have to see what happns in bluffton this year

LCC will be at the top until some knocks them off only saying that becsue of the 1-2-3 knock out pitching staff last year anf knottenbrock looked great and I know bowers and caprella are also good as I gotta see them once each as well and seemed very impressive...as for your guys look at paulding id say if they can keep up with taht ever so tough start of the season then they will look to knock off even the best in LCC because everyone has an off day so maybe Paulding will be riding the big MO when they play LCC and LCC have an off day and paulding beat them in a low scoreing game maybe 3-2 or 2-1...but time will tell

bowers is a pretty good pitcher....he has a strong arm and hes tough to hit. Caprella has a hot head and can lose it mentally at any point in the game. i guess i cant really see him NOT being one of the better players in the NWC though. What about O'Brian?...is he any good?

Eiserle didnt do his damage pitching during the summer. He hit in the 400's for his Legion team though. very impressive. plus he is only a junior. the pirates could be looking at a good team in the next couple of years.

LCC will have a great year and like shack said, they will be on top untill someone knockes them off...Paulding should have a great year, coming off an impressive run in the summer...my top 3 teams will probably be:
1) LCC
2) Crestview
3) Paulding

PHS, i hope you know what you are getting yourself into. You better be able to back up what you are saying right now, because it's probably not smart to be talking like this, especially this far away from the season because those nwc teams will be coming after Paulding twice as hard because of what you are saying on here. You can say all you want when you guys win the nwc, but untill then I would advise you to not say to much more before all of this backfires on you.

I see when most of you talk about LCC's pitching you name Kottenbrock, Caprella, and Bowers, ur also forgeting Evans, hes a pretty solid pitcher for LCC. I think that rotation, along with very skilled players in every position out on the field will all add up to another NWC conference title for LCC in their first year.

well LCC does have a home field, they will have home games at Lima Seniors (old) field, and they will possibly play at the Ohio State branch. Also, is Lincolnview supposed to be good this year? I haven't heard to much about them.

I'm not sure about Lincolnview, they might be one of those teams that graduated all of there good players, but that's just a guess. Any one from Lincolnview here on RC that would know?

Well since everyone has a full week under there belt, just wondering how everyone looks. On the paulding front, i heard there numbers where a little down. I also heard one big rumor that their starting first baseman isnt playing( could any one from paulding verify that) . Well i hope things are going good for everyone else.

As far as the NWC goes i think it is going to be a tight knit for the title...you have powerhouse LCC with the help of Bowers coming from Columbus grove, then you have the always solid Crestview Knights, then you have the unpredictable Ada Bulldogs who always seem to find a way to be in the race for the title. LCC coming into this conference was one of the best things to happen because they are the school that everybody wants to upset and dethrown. So i think that the Conference race is going to be quite a showdown.
