I just don't get the Inselman thing..........call me curious, ignorant, or just plain stupid but why leave PH, drive an hour + to work, and then put up with the Wapak admnistraton and Derryberry? :bag:....it just doesn't make sense..........RM

This is getting exciting!!!

Some really outstanding candidates vying for the head spot.

Unlike some of the worrywarts, I Know that we are going to end up with a Great football coach.

I trust in the process and I trust in individuals that are helping make the final decision.

Addition by subtraction is the phrase that keeps coming to mind...

I agree with you but maybe he wants to try a big school program and have some of the nicest facilities in the area that is only thing that makes sense. If given the opportunity I would be more surprised if he DIDN'T accomplish things than if he did. If he gets job and stays 6+ years I see multiple league titles and at least one regional championship. Just my opinion, I saw the work he did with the talent at PH it's scary what he could do with Wapak's talent.

Example at a small school where you share a lot of athletes he has own 51 games past 5 years and basketball team probably hasn't won 10 in that span.

Tim Spiess would be a great hire. I just think he would fit in well at Wapakoneta and would be able to use the talent they have to continue the success. The guy has a ton of experience and is extremely knowledgeable on both offense and defense.

If Patterson doesn't get it, would that be a shot at their own personnel saying that they don't trust them? Saying that Frye is the only reason that the team played well? Just a thought.

Coach Frye I believe thought pretty highly of coach Patterson, enough so that he brought him in to run his defense and got him a job. He ran the summer lifting and conditioning while coach Frye could have nothing to do with the team. I bet if coach Frye was asked, he wants Patterson with him In St. Marys. My nephew played for Patterson and really thought highly of him.

Spiess was a head coach, what 2 years... And that was set up from what Vicars had already started at Genoa... He was an assistant at LC, Lindgren is the HC. Tim hasn't done a whole lot on his own... He can be polarizing...

Mr. Rex the AD and Dave (Athletic Booster President) will do their best to pick the right one. Because sense Frye took over the football program, we have been getting record high attendance and a lot of money being brought in. I think the others will follow suit.

Interesting was told this as well by someone he coached. Was told Wapakoneta will want to steer clear. He's worked with good programs, but has never developed one. Was told he was a train wreck at Edgerton as a head coach, but no talent either. Now has inherited a developed program but is looking to get out with the graduating seniors because there is nothing in the cubboard at genoa anymore. Also has never played football in hs and was a member of a Liberty Center basketball program that set the record for consecutive losses in the state.
