Coach Inselmann is a teacher at Napoleon HS...I find it strange that he would apply after just retiring from PH....

So do I! Not sure what's going on with him leaving PH but he is a great coach and if he applied that's good news.

Just reading through all these posts and trying to make sense of any of it is almost impossible. Being a O-G fan I find it impossible that Ken Schriner would apply for this job. To walk away from O-G at a time where his kids are in high school or nearly in just does not seem plausible to me. Add to the fact that his wife teaches in the OG system and would have to find a job in the Wapakoneta school system it just is not gonna happen!!!!! I am sure that Wapakoneta will hire a top notch coach to lead their program, but it is not gonna be Ken Schriner. There would be no incentive for him to move 40 miles south where at OG with the updated facilities(new locker rooms, coaches offfices etc) that he would walk away from. As far as Inselmann is concerned, he just left his alma mater, going to Wapak would not be worth it for him at least in the interim. Schulte is another story. I could see him be interested in this job as a step up as far as moving up in the divisions is concerned. I am surprised that the movers and shakers in Wapakoneta are not trying to entice Tim Goodwin to take this job. Truth be known he has done everything he can at Marion Local. This could be a challenge for him to turn Wapak into another powerhouse.

I agree it doesn't make sense, but I have been told by a credible source with direct knowledge that Ken Schriner and Bill Inselmann have both applied and in fact scheduled to interview this week. Things may change, but that's what I was told as of a few days ago.

This, and my sources are the people who are taking the applications. As someone stated though, even if they do get offered it doesn't mean they will take it.

Alot of names are being thrown out there for coach. For the Wapak posters out there what name would you want to get the final call for head coach. Yes you can include the beezer. lol

Jon Gruden did apply I heard but his inexperience was his downfall. He has been unable to find a job for awhile maybe St. Marys will hire him as their passing game Cor.

Something doesn't add up there.

What doesnt add up here the wing and fling offense features the pass and st. marys has a long list of prolific passers in its program. LOL

I hate say it but Kevin Fell just feels right dont even know if he put in for it. The way he feels about Frye Im told would be the perfect coach right now.

I like Schulte. He's accomplished everything he could at small dsj.. Lets see what he can do at a big school with even more talent. He doesn't even have to turn anything around. I think his more complex offense is what wapak was lacking, especially in playoffs.

Schulte and Goodwin both would be great hires and it would be great to see what they can do in the bigger division football, but realistically I don't see either one leaving where they are at to come to Wapakoneta. Don't know much about inselman but it sounds like he did a good job at Patrick Henry.

If somehow Wapak got coach Inselman (which I find hard to believe) That would be a homerun hire his resume speaks for itself,

There are so many accomplishments that Coach I has attained in his 23 years.

His final record was 200-64 (.758), 176-51 (.775) in the regular season, 140-44 (.791) in NWOAL play, 24-13 (.649) in the playoffs, with 10 NWOAL championships (record 8 straight, next longest is either 4 or 5), 4 Final Fours and 1 State Championship DV (2005). Each of the last 18 years he had a winning record.

PH has been consistently the smallest or second smallest in the NWOAL and maybe he wants to try a big school job and if he does WAPAK will be VERY happy.

Agreed!! What I read on all the articles he was a classy guy and cared truly cared for his players and coaches. Wapak would do well with him.

Coach Inselman has a very impressive record. What type of offense did he run at Patrick Henry?
