Pete has to be with in a year or two of retirement, at least in terms of years of service.

I doubt that is a option. ???

Pete is retired as a teacher - last year was his last teaching.

He revealed that if Ben isn't coaching with him in Missouri, then it will be in Kenton.

Has anyone heard of any candidates for this job? Fackler I assume would be one, right?

My thoughts on Fackler as well. He has to be their first choice. However, if they open it up, is there any area coaches that might apply?

TurnnBurn must be beside himself during all this. He's certainly not beside us or we would have heard from him

If Ben does decide to stay at Kenton like Coach Mauk said on the radio last night, I do not believe it will be as an assistant. It would be the best scenario to allow him to take over the program. He would be able to keep the coaching staff intact and continue what has already been built. Fackler probably deserves a chance, but if he is retired from teaching then it would be hard to give the head job to someone who is no longer at the school during the day.

I believe Ben will be a great coach. Might take him a year or so but I think if he stays at Kenton he will be the next great coach. He has learned under three great coaches and he will be top notch. I would think if he stays he will get a job close with all the openings

If Ben becomes a head coach he is going to have to mature. His mudslinging and showing up the other team from the sidelines and coaches isn't exactly what you want as a head coach.

I don't know about this but I was wondering why he would automatically be the choice over more experienced people on staff. I

I just saw how he reacted on the sideline after Kenton scored in the Bryan game. He gave the choke signal towards the Bryan bench and coaches. During the Elida game he pointed and fist pumped towards the Elida bench. Just not a good showing.
