I'm predicting st Mary's to go 7-3 next season. Without looking at anything. Kenton lost a big class and coach, OG is down somewhat, wapak lost frye. I just hope the skins can bring in someone who can beat frye and st Mary's, this game is gonna be fun to watch these teams will throw everything and the kitchen sink at eachother. I think wapak needs to go with a spread guy at hc. A lot of athletes right now and if they know what they are doing, the spread can give frye fits. You know his teams are gonna be strong and disciplined not always a bunch of talent Get your athletes in space against these kids and you win.

St Marys kids should just worry about playing football. They have no room to talk. Yes their coach made stupid decision but those kids are equally responsible for not making the plays needed. Can't put it all on coach. They will be improved, but I wonder, NONE of these kids have ties to Frye he's an intense guy and it's easy to say, they'll adapt but they could just as easy fold when they are coached like they never have before.

Im thinking 6 and 4 or 5 and 5 Fryes first year back at St. Marys. At the touchdown club he commented that this upcoming team Wapak is going to field is the best he would of had there. Keaton Metz is going to be a stud this year but still thinking Huffman at QB and Morgan use him at WR and RB.

I think they under-utilized Morgan last year at QB in the wing-t. Should have opened up into the spread or put him at wing back in the wing-t, anybody can hand the ball off.

I agree with you there his talents are not used just handing the ball off. Could have the same impact as Metz started to have towards the end of the year.

I am hearing from a good source that Beezer will be named the new head football coach at Wapakoneta.

Saint Marys hasn't won a football game for since 2011. While I think Frye is a great coach, and I fully expect them to win 4 or maybe 5 games this year, OG has AVERAGED about 8 wins a year for the last decade.

Wapak, Kenton, OG and Celina and Defiance in no particular order will be pretty good next year and I think Elida has a lot back as well.

It's going to take a while to change the culture, and some of those kids might not want to put up with the process despite the almost guaranteed results that Frye should get there.

I totally agree I think the WBL will be wide open with 4 or 5 teams competing for the league title.

Thoughts on Ken Schriner or Bill Inselmann as candidates.

The big rumor around town is that Ken Shriner either has been contacted or he has contacted the school about the varsity football coach opening. Don't know if there is any truth to this but he would be a good fit for Wapakoneta.

Bill Inselmann or Shriner would be great coaches at Wapak. Coaching commitee has their hands full on this hire. Wapak has a ton if skilled kids coming back and 2 all wbl lineman.

Didn't Inselmann retire from Patrick Henry?

Yes he did retire from Patrick Henry. The potential for Wapak next year on offense is scary but have to look at it 2 ways. Do you go away from what made this team so good the last 4 years in the wing and fling. A lot of people don't like this offense kinda boring but gets results. The other option would be a spread offense which would utilize our athletes and open up the offense. This would mean moving Morgan from QB and letting Huffman take over then Morgan and Metz to create havoc.

Sammons has a chance but I figure if they stay in house it will be Patterson. Interviews should be starting soon.

I asked one of the assistant coaches if sammons had applied and he said that in conversation with Coach Sammons he stated that he was going to apply, he didn't know 100% for sure that he had applied but was pretty certain that he did. I agree with Beezer and do not feel that Sammons would make a good head coach he is ok as an assistant but don't think he is the right man to lead the football program. I also believe if they stay in house that it will be Patterson.
