Still say not one of the names mentioned brings excitement to the program. Patterson seems to be the top choice but I know nothing about him just is a former Frye asst.

Pattie is a good assistant but not a head coach

wouldnt it be crazy if Gator8 was an aide or teacher with one of Frye's sons, thats how he knew everything and was so sure....crazier what if it was a Frye at Sidney, where Gator8 may or may not have ties, which is in shelby county, so we see so many shelby county names

You got 1/2 of it right. I do know the Frye boys and Coach. I am not an Administrator or Aide. I grew up in Shelby County played ball in SCL but now live in Wapak. I feel fairly confident of the names I threw out there. I am fairly close to athletic dept and hear a lot of RUMORS. I am guessing you are a Sidney guy. If I hurt your feelings I apologize. This is a thread that talks about replacing Coach frye and that is what I am reporting. I know people who are very close to the Fryes and get info from them and I post it. I am pretty sure that is what 95% of the posters on here do.

On a different note Mauk is not coming to Wapak!

Big shock to the WBL with Mauk leaving a lot of programs going to be happy to see him go. A lot of people had issues with his program but the man was a winner year after year. Now lets just find a coach for our Redskins with this much talent coming back a lot of coaches should love this job. Someone get GUS on the phone and have him get us a coach.

I just heard from a source that spoke with mike that Ben is going to take the wapak job. Anybody in wapak hear anything yet?

I don't know how you can say Ben is taking the Wapak job because they have not started interviewing, they are taking applications until January28th so they have not even began the interviewing process. Plus I heard Ben is going to Missouri with Mike.

The superintendent, AD and Principal can begin 'cold calling' candidates the minute the position opens up. And I might add- HAVE called.

If Ben was staying in this area from what I heard he would be more interested in the Wapak job than the Kenton. Not happy with what happened with his dad. Like the post above applications are still being taken so will be awhile before possible front runners are leaked. Then Wapak hires Zimmer back with Hollars and Phillips as asst. coaches. Dont laugh with our BOE and AD nothing would surprise me.

All this talk of Ben Mauk is just wishful thinking. At the ball game last night I talked to some of Wapak's administration and I asked them point blank if Ben had applied and they said they have over 20 plus applications but not one from Ben.

Ask them who they have contacted the next time you see them.

Applications coming in for a job like this is maybe 50% of the story.
