Here is more fuel for the fire! A friend of mine saw Bo Thursday and went up and said thanks for what his dad and the staff had did for Wapak footbal and hate to see them go. Bo said nothing was certain yet still at Wapak.

I have heard that Bo has been in the weight room more than once, if true then there is some truth to the story that Frye will be back at St. Mary's next year. I think what most Wapak people are feeling is if you are going to quit, fine go, but they feel it is not right to be over there running St. Marys football program while you have not informed the Wapakoneta Administration, the football players who have dedicated themselves to your system and program and your coaching staff over here that you are leaving. A program that has given Coach Frye everything he has asked for should at least be given enough respect to be informed of what his intentions are so Wapakoneta can get started on finding a coach to replace him. The kids who have dedicated themselves to him and Wapakoneta football deserve more. The longer things drag out it is hurting our football program because of the off season workouts, hiring a new coach and the new coach putting together his staff. Bottom line is Coach Frye knows if he is staying or leaving if he is leaving then man up and inform Wapakoneta's administration, your former team and your current staff here at Wapak.

All I know of Doug Frye is what I have seen on TV and I know absolutely nothing about Bo, but is it possible that Doug is staying at Wapak and Bo is the next head coach at St Mary's. Just wondering if this scenerio is possible?

You're taking this like VERY seriously aren't you?

It's high school football, and it's a coach, let's not get too carried away.

I work very hard almost everyday get 4 or 5 hours of sleep. When not at work spending as much time with my 5 year old twins and wife. The one thing I enjoy is Friday nights just my girls and me with friends and family sitting in our reserved seats at Harmon Field. The one thing that really makes it nice when Wapak is winning and competing for the WBL title. Once in awhile it is nice to talk some football with others and this topic is the main one. Don't see where this is offending you so bad just fans talking and giving their opinion.

I agree with Beezer we take our Wapakoneta football serious and when sitting in the stands on Friday nights it is a lot more enjoyable if we are in the hunt for a WBL title. If you don't like Beezer's passion stay off the thread.

How many times does OG come to town and you expect to win. Playing St. Marys and the only thing you worry about is how much your going to win by. This is a lot more fun then hoping to go 5 and 5 in a good year.

You're missing the point - go ahead and enjoy your school and football.

My point is this: While Doug Frye is a very good coach, and has been successful at everywhere he's been, he's not the only good football coach available. Wapak is a destination job, I've been there multiple times, it's a fantastic city that supports the school system and a great place to live. You should be proud of that. If Frye isn't happy there, SCREW HIM, tell him to hit the bricks.

Someone will take that job and run with it for the next 15-20 years and do a great job. You and Celina are the two largest schools in the league, you SHOULD win or at least be in contention every single year for the league title, if you aren't, that's something wrong with players and coaches ... and the parents. Wapak is a destination job, be happy you live in a school district where that's the case.

You shouldn't be acting like a jilted ex-girlfriend because your boyfriend left you for the girl with VD. If he was never committed to Wapak, see ya, hit the bricks, you didn't know a good thing when you had it.

If he wants to go from one of the most resource rich schools in the WBL to the dumpster fire that is Memorial, LET HIM! In the long run you will be better off getting a coach that is dying to raise his family in a wonderful community like Wapakoneta and enjoys the schools and the great kids that come with it.

This hero worship of high school football coaches is sad. It's not a coach ALONE that makes a great program. You need great parents, great schools, and most importantly, great players. A good coach is very important, but it's not THE most important part.

I guess the thing your missing is Wapak picking the right coach to bring the talent out of Wapak. If you look at Wapak's records in 4 years Frye was one of Wapaks winningest coach ever that's sad.

League is a lot different now than it was then.

Communities are a lot different now than they were then.

You are one of the few true middle class communities with good families producing good talent ... an average coach can get you to the playoffs every year.

There is a great opportunity for a long successfuil career in Wapak as you have said
If Doug Frye is not the coach any longer, and its amazing that it hasn't been determined 100% at least publically,
then make a great hire and move onward and upward

I agree- I think Guilty Bystander summed it up about as well as one could.

A friend of mine from St. Mary's said it will be finalized today that Coach Frye is the new head coach at St. Mary's and he will inform the Wapak football team today after school that he is leaving.

Adios amigo! Appreciate what you did for the program now Wapak needs to make sure Frye regrets this decision for along time 2 names I have heard is Ben Mauck and the DSJ coach rumor about money issues there.
