Cooper did his homework.... He always has before he took another job. This has been in the works for sometime. He had it figured out. The only real concern was his son. If they stay in Ohio she has to keep working until she's 70 or whatever the new age requirement will be after 2015. This way, they both teach a few more years and retire together... Honestly, it's a good move move for THEM...

Last post for me on this thread......you can say/believe what you want on what is being reported by the Lima news media on what the reasons are for Coach Cooper's retirement.......you can think that RM doesn't have a clue how LCC athletics and inner workings operate......a few years or maybe even months from now someone will be talking at the K of C, the Country Club, J's, or wherever and the "real" reasons for his departure will become better known.........I just want everyone to remember back just a year ago when the RC posted that LCC was getting the boot.......holy hell broke loose on here and it took about a day for LCC administration to realize that this story wasn't going away.....they cobbled the story how LCC wasn't being asked to leave........and we know how that one worked out.... :whistling: ........

Are you also still holding out hope that santa exists? I love how you try to "break the big story" on here when in reality, if something does "break" on here its a user telling you. You'll throw a wild scenerio or accusation out there and when youre wrong, who cares....you dont have any real accountability because youre not a real media outlet. If youre ever right....I knew it.

Haven't posted on here much lately but still thoroughly enjoy having my girlfriend read me some of the posts here on Rocket Corner. Of course it's a user telling Rocketman things like this. Haven't you heard of Eric Snowden? In the entertainment field where I am more well-known there are lots of ways to get information. I just think that this site has a lot of good intel. Sometimes the info is proven false. I have to think that there is more to this story than someone would be led to believe. My momma always told me that it all comes out in the wash.

Does he have any good prospects that he is looking at in Tenn.?
Will any of his players transfer with him??
Is the "Voucher" system in Tenn. the same??

Seymour's Freshman team went 9-0 last year. He's no fool...and chooses his landing spots carefully.

Three reasons, he has flown the "Coop" to Tennessee.

1. Employment pattern, look at history it is time to move on. He has worn out his welcome with his all about me attitude.
2. Mike Fell at Lima Senior, no more cherry picking the best athletes.
3. Voucher program, folks at LCC getting little tired of the free loaders not showing up to work and help raise funds.

Wish him well, let it go and see how long it last down there!

The "folks at lcc" are loving the voucher program because it helps keep the doors open without a huge jump in tuition.

It amazes me how those of you outside the LCC school system "think" you have all the answers. Comments on this topic are unbelievable!!!

I'm sure there are pros and cons, but tell us there are no upset folks with the non-participation and not showing up for scheduled shifts!

Clutch, I agree with a lot of your posts, but this one says a lot....Thought the vouchers were to help and better the kids from failing districts...not keep a private school open.....my main point in disagreeing with the voucher program that vouchers are nothing more than a resource for the schools...sorry for taking thread off topic

This may be true but its not just the vouchers parents that aren't showing up, its the whole younger generation of parents. The stolly, quatmans, oconnors, kriegs, schwaigers, weicherts, huffmans, tchours and many others who are always doing the volunteering are trying to pass the torch with the newer generation and it just hasn't worked out that well yet.

Understand that and knew that, but the statement says more than most people realize

Clutch - unfortunately that is the case at just about every high school these days, public or private. Seem to be way too many single parent families these days.

It was a joke. Regardless, before we get this started, I'm sure you can look back a few pages and find the last voucher argument and the one before that, and the one before that and so on.....read through those to get your fix.

Clutch-Agree with the fact Jr High and elementary parents not getting involved,,But,I also had a friend who's boy was playing O-Line for jr high team probably 6-7 years back.. when his son lost his starting spot to a voucher kid ,he refused to work volunteer hours ,like he was before..Not saying thats right thing to do,but it would be naive to think it doesn't happen,,
