I expect LCC to win 8 next year and then start a movement downward winning on average 60%, still okay. . They will not get the player or two they currently get anymore. Coop will totally melt down during this process. Worse than already. Will be quietly asked to retire when behaviors cannot be ignored any longer. On the other hand, LSH will win 7 to 8 each year. LJ

Has anyone herd of cach having to write a apology because of his last game outburst following the officials after the game or the outcome from the officials filing a complaint to OHSAA on him?

My sources say a letter of apology was emailed to Parents & Faculty, quite interesting reading I'm told. They did not know if this was pre-emtive punishment for OHSAA to consider or if there is more to come. He however is not going anywhere anytime soon......

I don't believe there is a letter. Precedence dictates that he coaches at Perry next year.
I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

An apology was emailed to parents and faculty? That, I highly doubt. He strikes me as being a little sharper than that.....No way he allows this paper trail to be made......while he still might have to draft a letter to the OHSAA hierarchy and attempt to explain his past behaviors, I don't feel that he would include the LCC parents and faculty in this discussion......if there is some form of punishment yet to be doled out by the OHSAA for his best "Chris Adams" imitation you won't be reading about it in the Lima News.......

Gee I feel like if a parent/friend tells me they got a mass email with a letter of apology attachment signed by him I could believe it. I trust my source that says it occurred and he is staying more than the source you reported saying he's leaving or is out. Quite frankly I'm surprised the letter hasn't made it in here yet. I guess it will all come out in the wash. Besides isn't it' time for the RC to turn their collective attention to the basketball team & season?? Lol

The basketball team is hosting a charitable event tomorrow evening for an MRDD basketball game. The players will be supporting the teams and working with them during the game. Starts at 7pm might be an opportunity for some positive LCC posts before the season and blog floggings begin.

Quite "Frankly" I'm also surprised that the RC didn't receive this letter directly from Coach Cooper.... :sarcasm: and Coach Frankie Buzz Killjoy will have his team primed to start their exhibition season......RM

I just figured that with a source that coukd tell you he was definately out or leaving, such a source would have knowledge and/or access to the email. Given that the RC is obviously not on the mass email list, maybe you should ask him yourself. That would make for an interesting conversation lol. (Not sure how to insert sarcasm pic here). I'm not a big fan of the coach at this point but maybe such an email is a move in the right direction at repairing at least his internal image in the LCC community. Doubt he can do much damage control externally or at the RC. Like a self imposed NCAA punishment I'm sure such an email was also in hopes of lessoning possible ohsaa punishment

You know I totally get why people are down on LCC and why LCC was not welcome in the nwc. I don't like a lot of things I see read and hear about. But there is a lot of positive going on in that school outside of football and basketball but don't get the same attention both good & bad.

My hope is to simply remind people of these other kids, coaches, friends fans of LCC. Lots of good folks many of whom still maintain positive relationships with others in those nwc communities.

While some of the constant bashing may be deserved for many reasons mentioned here, LCC is not defined by football and basketball and it just needs to be mentioned once in awhile. I hope you get your response from the coach and maybe something good will come of it.

Rocketman where is this big announcement that Coach Cooper is leaving LCC?

I think this proves that Rocketman is CLUELESS. Hey Rocketman do you really think that LCC is going to give a guy who just went 37-3 over the past 4 regular seasons a hard time. Let me repeat Rocketman is CLUELESS

"Do I really think that LCC is going to give a coach who just went 37-3 over the past 4 regular seasons a hard time?" .......I have always respected LCC....their academics are top-notch, their students carry themselves very well in the community, and their athletic programs are excellent as well......however, I don't feel for a moment that they have forgotten their core values as it relates to whether their programs win or lose........of course they would prefer to win every game or contest that they participate in, but I don't believe that they are happy with a coach who acts like the second coming of Wayne Woodrow Hayes or Sir Robert Knight... :bag: ......there is a decorum that must be met by everyone associated with LCC....from their administration (do remember that a former principal was left go a few years ago and he was VERY well connected to LCC), to their coaches, students, athletes, and even fans.......LCC has always been a school that others measured their success by......and I don't see this changing just because a coach who happened to win 37/40 regular season games (and limited playoff success, especially compared to his previous coaching stop) wants to continue coaching......to all those fat cat alumni who sit there watching their two high profile sports (OK, I'll include golf also :shrug2: ) it has to gall them to see how these coaches represent their community.........I mean, really? Chasing the refs down into the locker room and then complaining to the newspapers after getting their behinds handed to them?....from the extremely foul language (I have personally heard standing on the sidelines) directed towards these same officials? I can only imagine what the Parish priest is thinking!....."He's coaching at LCC?".......I certainly might be Clueless in Seattle but I do not believe for one minute that they approve of the behaviors that Coach Cooper has exhibited in his time there.........RM

Looks like your sources let you down Rocketman. I am glad that you are a self aware man. The only question I have for you: "Is there anything good you could say about Coach Cooper." I am sure his teams successes have to have been good for someone or some community. You restating your opinion over and over is really getting rather old to be honest. It sounds like a three year old wanting candy. Get a real life and find something positive you can get behind
