Or perhaps, I may have moved out of state long ago for a job, and fell in love with the place I moved to...last I checked, some people do move away and never move back (can someone please check into the validity of this statement no matter what Northwest school you may be from with people you know?). I still have a subscription to the courier (online) and still read about everything going on "back home." That doesn't mean I am avoiding the problem and not being part of the solution, that is me realizing I have a job and a wonderful family to raise/take care of, right where I am located.
I agree with you 100% There are many people doing just what you are doing. I can't blame anyone for that. It takes quality people who truly care about their community to be a part of the solution. My point is, If you choose to not live in the C-R district, you can't be part of the solution to their problems.

In my humble opinion, the BOE is the Board of Directors (for a lack of better wording) of this big business called a school disrtrict. Success and failure, starts and ends with them. Last I knew, anything concerning new hires, terminations, large financial expendtiures (budgets), levies, facilites, mission statement of the district, etc. must be approved and supported by them. They set the direction for the district. At the end of the day someone needs to take full responsibility and accountablitiy of the district.

In the business world, if you want folks to stop leaving your organization and or becoming part of the problem. You're forced to make difficult decisions everyday. You make them, you hurt people's feelings, you force change and move on for the betterment of the entire organization, ownership or shareholders.

Most school districts try to make it a win/win for everyone, "everyone gets a trophy and a treat". This does not work in today's world. Money no longer falls from the sky (gov't) like it use to in the 60's, 70's and early 80's. The district is in competition for everything financially, academically and athletically. Residents today have options, it's a competition to keep their children in your district.

Freedom of choice is a greatest thing in our country and right now a lot of folks have decided to go other routes. Not saying it is right or wrong but real, hence why I say tough decisions and directional changes must be made in the CR district!

No, not who I had in mind. However, he is from the same staff. He coached my son this past year and did a great job. I talked to him once about moving schools and he said a small school like this would be his first move to gain experience. He loves coaching and loves football. You can tell just by talking to him.

Lawerence was the guy I was speaking about. However, I do think a lot of Turner. He is an enthusiastic young coach.

He said he would be interested. I could see a couple of Kenton coaches possible leaving now.

That's what I hate about this. People always assume that a coach needs fired instead of giving them time to build a program. Kenton was not built overnight . It took Mauk about 13 years to build a consistent winner. It wasn't until about 1994 and 1995 that he started to win consistently. The 1987 co championship was a one time deal when the wbl was really weak overall.
