FIndlay "east" you mean? :pokey: Arlington certainly has everything to play for with McComb loss to Leipsic last night. Win, and earn #1 seed in Region 24 as well as potentially knocking LB out of the playoffs (?), PLUS win a share of the BVC - something that hasn't been done since 1987 if memory serves me correctly. No clue which Arlington team shows up - but if it's the confident, physical team we saw first 5 games of year, we have a shot. If it is the penalty ridden team that couldn't stop the run for a 2 week stretch - we are in trouble. Hoping for a great game - should be a great atmosphere for sure as there is no lost love between these two schools.

Not according to current points on Joe E. of course if the Vikings win then the #1 seed is probably theirs.

I would think that Arlington would jump them for sure considering all the points they would get against an undefeated LB team. That Leipsic game surprised me against McComb. Didn't see that coming.

LB has clinched a playoff birth, Arlington has not. LB has won its big games (Leipsic, Wynford and McComb), Arlington has lost two of their three big games (Liberty Center, Leipsic and McComb). LB is physical "and" fast. Who will win....we will see.

No question - Arlington is the underdog as always against LB as all BVC schools are when they play them in any sport. It's reality - but at some point, you would like to see one of the schools beat LB. David vs. Goliath. It only takes one time, one night - and one heck of a party will ensue when/if it ever happens :hifive2: .

McComb and Leipsic have won the league the last 4 years?

Going on I believe 5 years since LB won the title, since then I think McComb has beat them a couple times, Leipsic has beat them a couple times, Cory has beat them and I think the other was Pandora. So; I think plenty of schools beat them. Maybe they don't look at it with David vs. Goliath glasses and just go in play hard. Maybe Arlington shouldn't give LB the Goliath 'reference' and just go beat em. :whistling:

......a lot of this is one sided. If LB wins this game fine, if they lose it fine. LB concerns the last 10 years or so has been with McComb, Leipsic, Hardin Northern, PH, LCC, Archbold, etc... And those are respected rivalries. Mutual respect for the programs. Not a "no love lost" thing. - JMO

Try telling Arlington ppl that, they seriously say biggest rivalry in BVC and the area, I get Arlington ppl are very envious of LB success across all sports and rightfully so but that doesn't constitute a rivalry.. Arlington hasn't beat them or even won the league since Christ was a kid.. I'm sure LB wants to beat them as much as they do any team but I would think a win over a McComb type school would taste a little sweeter.. I compare it to a jealous little brother..

I meant LB, not Arlington. I was responding to PostPlayer's comments that Arlington could knock LB out of the playoffs.

I have seen both of these teams up close and in person manhandling my Black Knights all over the field. That being said, I think while Arlington has the size and speed to make this a ballgame, in the end I think LB's QB play will be the difference. That Craft kid has a cannon for an arm and can run like a deer. And someone tell me, how do you shut down Combs? This Eagles squad is one of the finest conditioned teams I have seen in the last couple of years, excluding the playoffs, in this area. Hard work on and off the field pays dividends. Thats what separates the upper tier teams of the BVC (Leipsic, McComb, LB, Arlington) from the middle of the pack teams like my Knights. Should be a real treat to watch these two slug it out. Would love to check this one out, but I will be watching McComb get ready for the playoffs against my squad next week. Good luck both teams!

Oh and by the way Arlington, watch out for the fumblerooski play with #52. If he gets the ball just get out of the way, you cant stop that train from reaching the station! :-)

Its not as one sided as some people are implying. Have you been to a basketball game between these schools, boys or girls its more intense than your average game.

What if they disassemble the tracks? How will the train make it to the station?

It was one of the finest executed versions of the fumblerooski I have ever seen. By the time the players and fans realized what was going on, he was halfway to the endzone on a 50 yrd bulldozing run that ended with about 4 broken tackles and a chestbump that damn near knocked Craft out of the game! Nothing short of an act of God was keeping him out of the endzone. He wanted that one.
