There will be more coming.

If there are, then they will be dealt with unlike some other schools locally and abroad(Steubenville, etc.). Until and after then, DJ will just focus on the classroom and football. :thumbup1:

Why would Ada want Paulding to lose. Wouldn't they gain more points with them winning? This whole computer point system is very confusing. :wallbash:

It's simple when you are used to it. Paulding is the largest school(D5), so if Paulding beat D6 Allen East for example(after Ada beat both teams), Ada would receive 4.0 pts since Team A(Paulding) beat Team B who was D5 Allen East(worth 4.0pts). Likewise, it works the other way. D5 is worth 4.5 2nd level points, so if Allen East beats Paulding, Ada would receive 4.5pts in the 2nd level as opposed to 4.0.

Revised predictions after Week 7:

1: Delphos Jefferson (10-0):21.1000
2: Wayne Trace (10-0):20.5500
3: LCC (8-2):16.9000 Assume W vs. Bluffton and Ada
4: Crestview (8-2):16.1000 Assume W vs Spencer, Grove
5: Tinora (8-2)**:16.1000 Assume W vs. Ayersville, L to Wayne Trace
6: Wynford (7-3): 14.6182 Assume W vs. Crawford
7: Northwood (8-2):13.7500 Assume win out
8: Patrick Henry (6-3):12.9444 Assume W vs. Archbold, L to Wauseon, Bryan
9: Ada (6-4): 12.0500 Assume L vs. Jefferson and LCC
10: Colonel Crawford (7-3):11.7000 Assume L vs. Wynford and Upper Sandusky
11: Ayersville (7-3):11.2000 Assume L to Hicksville, Tinora
12: Carey (6-4):10.9000 Assume W vs. Hopewell, L to Seneca East
13: Bluffton (6-4):10.5500 Assume L to LCC
14: Spencer (5-5): 7.9000 Assume L to Crestview, Jefferson, W vs. Vermilion

Note that I've left out Hopewell and Seneca East. They are still in contention...I just don't feel their chances are great and I see Hopewell losing some more games.

Ada is a good team. They have a chance of beating LCC, and to be honest they could very well upset Jefferson. Last night, Crestview just played almost a perfect game. Ada was not ready for them but sometimes a loss like that will get a team more focused. Crestview's loss to WT caused them to regroup and get on the right track. If Ada can find a little more balance on offense they should be in every game the rest of the year. I am definately rooting for them!

I'd agree with that. They don't seem to have the tempo of previous years, but the players and athletes are there. I think Crestview just matches up really well with Ada. I think Crestview would have some more trouble with LCC in matching up, but against Ada, they do fine. That's true in all football, but especially at the high school level. It's all about styles and matchups and some fair better than others, otherwise transitive properties would always prove true.

After seeing DJ's secondary confusion this past week against Grove, I'm most certainly not taking Ada, or anybody else for that matter lightly.

I have them at 11.65pts with a loss to DJ and LCC. Down and on the outside looking in, but certainly not "out". There is a still a lot of season left. ;)

The fallout between Wynford/Crawford and Patrick Henry will be HUGE. As of right now, I have Crawford finishing at 11.7000 and Ada at 11.6500.

I have Ada at 11.7000 not winning another game. That's assuming AE beats Mt. Gilead, East Clinton beats Meadowdale, and Paulding loses out. Trying to figure out where the .05 difference is. Unless you had something like Paulding winning happening.

Interesting note.....Crestview has played 5 teams with a winning record, and the 7 teams they have played have a combined record of 32-17. Pretty darn good.

Actually, I did find an error in not awarding them points for Bluffton beating Spencer, buy I'm not sure about the 0.5 difference. Probably just a division error in points. I have East Clinton beating Meadowdale, Spence beating Vermilion, Grove over Paulding, Bluffton over Paulding and Grove, AE over Paulding and Mt Gilead. I revised my previous error up top and have them at 12.0500 points.

Its crazy how one play can change a season for some teams. Bluffton couldn't score from the one yard line to take the lead in the Crestview game (chop block penalty on the play Bluffton scored negating the touchdown).

... Ada has always been explosive on offense in recent years and through 7 games haven't broken 40 points -- only averaging 25 per game. The offense hasn't found itself and because of their quick tempo it puts the defense on the field way too much.

Ada is not explosive on offense this year. They also are not quick tempo. I have been very frustrated this season watching Ada's new coach running a spread offense while taking away the things that make the spread work (his slow play calling is my biggest peeve). As much as I hate to say it, preparing for Ada by any team this year should not be too challenging. From my viewing spot in the stands it appears that Ada basically runs about 5 plays with very little imagination involved in the play calling.

I have a feeling we are going to hear a lot of similar statements as this season winds down for Ada with their new coach.

Unlike you bluejay, I am in the know in all this issues. All the issues are resolved, nothing else to come. You take any issue you can to bash dj you can and try to make them things there are not.
I haven't bashed DJ at all though? I am in the know with this subject as well. More so than you think.

You are right...but before everyone starts jumping on the new coaching staff, they need to realize Coach Fell left for a reason.

i agree to return to your alma mater to coach is a great deal...just saying i think the decision was made a little easier for him knowing what was on the horizion at Ada. I think it is great Coach Fell had the oppurtunity to return to Lima Sr. I just think it is unfair of people to judge this staff compared to what Fell did.

What was on the horizon? I notice a lot of the same names as last year out on the field. I don't see a huge depreciation in genetic ability out there. No, I'm not being harsh on you either...just saying. :hifive2:

Well when you have to move your best returning skill position player to another position...you have to replace the schools all time leading rusher who graduated...you have to replace an all state linebacker who graduated...not always easy for a small school...the cupboard is not bare by any means, just not nearly stocked as in years past...just saying.

This has been said by many every year since the Dysert years. I'm not sure I believe Crestview is 51 points better than Ada on a talent level.

Very well said.....have been trying to say something about the game but stay PC, but this says it best...Crestview played a great game, but as you stated, they are not 51 points better in talent

Touche. Even so, I think Crestview has more "talent" at this stage and when clicking, they will be a very dangerous team to look out for come playoff time. Defensively, I think they can play with a lot of teams, but their loss to Wayne Trace is about the worst matchup for them, as their smaller CBs in one on one situations can get eaten up by taller WRs. That's not to say the smaller CBs don't play well though...they play quite well...just don't have the size and have to rely on safety help when they can get it.

Which is why if Crestview faces a team in the playoffs with tall athletic recievers again, they may go down
