You can do just about anything else any day of the week during that sports season. Heck in volleyball you can have tri and quad meets, tourneys, etc.

I love high school football. I've driven to Toledo, Akron, and Cincy to watch games. I've watched games in the slums of Columbus and BFE locations like Richwood and South Charleston. Seen games in monsoons and freezing rain.
But ask yourself what if this had been volleyball?

Unless you know what goes on in trying to schedule games, you really are clueless to the process. It's not that easy. It always amazes me that there are people who think scheduling is easy... Go be an AD and find out how easy it is.
Very well said.

Yet in what?...35 days? all ten found games. And nobody forced them into making those drives. They could have said thanks but no thanks. No one has to play 10
The quotes wouldn't have been so bad if the double standards weren't so obvious to those not blinded by the friday night lights

But ask yourself what if this had been volleyball? Every single AD would have said ho-hum, slapped on some more sunscreen and continued their summer vacation. The article in the paper wouldn't have been longer than 5 paragraphs. Not a single game would have been made up.
Or if HN had cancelled a basketball season on Sept 28? The likelyhood of a few making up games goes up but I wouldn't bet the farm they all do.
Really nice of you to make blanket accusations against ADs and say they wouldn't make up a volleyball match. You don't know that.

I explained that in a post but ff84 still has dreams of the Carey, Mohawk duo.
West isnt going to say yes to any more east. They would rather just stay at 12 if that becomes the only option.

I really don't think the west schools approving any eastern teams would be any different than North Baltimore voting for Ada to join...or any southern school voting for a school like Patrick Henry or Elmwood (all of these schools have been mentioned at one point or another). SOMEBODY is always going to be at the opposite side of the conference when expanding outward. What makes one side of the conference any more important than any other?

Something to chew on. What if HN plays football in the NWCC but holds dual membership for all other sports?
