Looks like Leipsic and Edinburgh, IN are on for week 5. Edinburgh is 20 miles south of Indy.

Im thinking alot of these games will be on Saturday? Would be cool to have some fan support from other BVC schools. (especially HN) go and cheer em on. Be kinda like a playoff game. Also will be good to see some teams from other states. Think the kids will end up being really excited for this.

Leipsic did not replace their home game. They are on the road to Indy. Only way Edinburgh would play. looks like HN will have to fork over some money.

Quite frankly they should. A trip south of Indy isn't cheap for a school or families. I'd assume VB/Lucasville will have to pay a decent sum of money to rent a field in the Columbus area to avoid a 200-mile trip for one school.

I know schools like Arlington picked up a game but I think H. should have to reimburse the difference I the road trip. I know this isn't in the Bi-laws but it makes sense.

Not really. You could just not play a game and let the divisor clean up the vacant game. Ultimately, it's the school's choice if they want to reschedule another game or not. HN did what was best for them...making them pay financially for it is a bit over the top and at the end of the day, it's all public/booster funds being taken, so that doesn't really make much sense.

I believe the league has a penalty clause due to HN waiting so long to declare their intentions... If they had done it sooner, nobody would have had an issue. They basically hung every school out to dry.

There is a penalty clause if it were suppose to be a home game for each team since they didn't declare no varsity prior to feb. 1.

That should be good computer points for Ada, considering they wouldn't get much from HN. East Clinton will be D4 and probably pick up a few wins over larger schools, so good secondary points. I don't know much about East Clinton lately outside of their numbers issue for players. Ada should win, but who knows with all the changes and new faces over there. They are going to need all the points they can get being in the new D6.

How do they handle the points for the teams that can't find a replacement game, zero points ? ?

Nathan Inniger confirms on twitter that Leipsic is heading to Edinburgh Spet 28 @ 5 PM and Ada and Easton Clinton for Aug 31 @7

By my count that leaves CR LB mccomb Arcadia and PG all to still find games

They just go by a divisor of 9 instead of 10. It actually could help a team and in this case it probably would seeing how teams wouldn't get much from beating HN.

Heard LB has been talking to a Michigan team that made the playoffs last year.

Little more info on Ada and Leipsic's new opponents...
Ada's opponent is coached by former St. Wendelin coach Bill Hrabak
Leipsic's opponent has struggled big time in recent years
