But that advertisement is just the LCC way of shoving it in the NWC member's faces one last time......does LCC have great academics?....check
do they have a much-storied athletic program?......check
do they have a great teaching staff?......not that I can attest to personally, but I would say.........check

so why then do so many hate on the Tbirds?..........well, it might have to do with the holier than thou attitude that many exhibit.....
it could have something to do with the whole Jerry Cooper Show that is put on display not only on Friday and Saturdays, but if you would believe the stories concerning
his off the field antics......well
it might also be because of the biggest whiner since Krazy Kris in your head basketball coach.........
or it could just be that like Gordon Gee said.........

Well it is certainly in your best interest to perpetuate the dislike for LCC. Without LCC/DSJ/private schools, this website would have half the traffic in the off season. - Although I'm sure we'd find something else to complain about...

Where is all the dislike for delphos st johns? If it was only about winning championships people would hate them way more than lcc. Night and day difference between how those two football programs are run.

I also have a strong dislike towards Leipsic, Liberty Benton, and Columbus Grove
if that means anything........DSJ not so much because of "how they do things" as Bob would say.......

and yes, the RC dies down considerably in the summer but in just a few short months the juices will be flowing again with the start of football

I'm sure there would still be arguing (this is the RC after all), but it would be a lot easier for LCC fans to swallow comments like these if those making the comments didn't blatantly display their ignorance whenever talking specifics. Every time vouchers or recruiting is talked about with LCC and specific names are brought up, it is laughable, because the false statements/ignorance displayed shows that it's more complaining than well thought-out, informed arguments against a system they truly believe to be ran in bad taste, for lack of a better term. I don't know how many times I've read on here that Corey Stewart and MyKale Rogers (among others) are vouchers or "not LCC people." You just read things like that and shake your head knowing that their parents went to LCC, they were baptized at St. Charles, and they aren't receiving a voucher!

Meanwhile, we have people talking about how "public funding shouldn't be going to private schools." That's a legitimate argument, but the majority of people on here have no idea how the system even works (save a few, such as DMan) or what they're talking about. Additionally, their school isn't affected in the slightest (except, as some on here would have you believe, on the athletic field) and I have a hard time believing the majority on here give a $h!+ about Lima Senior's (the only public school subject to vouchers currently) finances. This ignorance when talking specifics and the fact that the agenda of most commenters is blatantly obvious on the topic of LCC, can only lead LCC supporters to brush off the commenters as jealous, which infuriates the haters more, and so the cycle continues....

However, the basic facts remain the same. . . .LCC has won the Award For Excellence in 6 of the 7 years they were eligible.

Your referring to Lima Central Catholic as " Lima Senior Central Catholic", The Lima News as the "Slima News" and the placing of the ad recognizing the LCC student-athletes considered "the biggest douche move that could have been made" to be a total disrespect for
Lima Sr. High School, Lima Central Catholic High School, the city of Lima and most of all, those LCC athletes who participated in competition
in the NWC since entering the league.

Is what LCC did any different than signs at the edge of Lima, Rawson, Mt Cory, Mcguffey, Alger, Dunkirk, Dola, Arlington, McComb, Mechanicsburg, North Lewisburg, and countless others memorializing state championships? Same concept different format.

Too bad LCC didn't pay for an ad on here. Now that would have been interesting.

Why don't they do that. They could put signs at the edge of the Allen County line. Since that is where they consider "their community"!! lol

Didn't see the ad….Mr. Bearcat told me about it tho. We tend to have a difference of opinion on LCC. It's kind of like the hot girl that gets all the guys. The ugly girls are all jealous of her, but they insist it's because she puts out instead of that she is real good looking.

Did LCC place a similar ad in the previous years? If not, kind looks like a jab at the NWC... Why place one now? LCC is "above" the NWC.... supposedly. Why even acknowledge these small-minded schools? Who's being " small-minded" now?

I don't know if they are better then the three you mentioned, but I just know they were a bad fit for the NWC from Day 1.

Didn't read the Lima news thing but the T-Birds were not very well liked before they joined the NWC. They have always been known for a in your face attitude when they win and a piss poor sportsmanship attitude when they lose. This was the case way before they were even competitive in football which hasn't been that long ago. Seggerson wouldn't even shake Westrick's hand after they lost to Marion Local for the 2nd year in a row in the regular season and promptly dropped them off the schedule. I bet the article didn't say anything about how thankful they were to Liberty Benton for kicking them out of the football playoffs their last 2 years in the NWC.

My Thoughts on the ad?? (Not that anyone cares) Who paid for it? 1) If it was a private ( or group of private people ) person....eh....their right whatever 2) If it was T Bird Athletic Boosters....a little classless..but again their right..no big deal 3) If it was the SCHOOL itself that paid ...I want my voucher money back

While there probably is a small segment of the T-bird faithful who truely want to recognize their achievements (not sure why they need more pats on the back) the large majority of this is just thumbing your nose at the NWC and the way they were treated going out of the conference. Again, if you are so used to winning...act like you've been there before.
