Kalida has very little returning talent. Agree Col. Grove, Leipsic and Miller City as top dogs.

Is Stober still the JV coach at Kalida or did he find a new gig?

Any surprises so far or is it just the way you thought it would be?

I would have to say at this point Grove is far above and ahead of all other PCL teams. I know they still must beat MC but if they do or not they are still best team. pitching rotation vs. MC would be the only difference.

Miller City picks up the win tonight over Ottoville. That puts MC at 6-0 in the PCL, guaranteeing them at least a share in the PCL title. They will take on Grove tomorrow. Grove will need the win to at least share the title with MC.

Columbus Grove beat Miller City 10-3 Wed. night, with a win over Pandora in the bulldogs only remaining PCL game will put them in a tie with MC as the PCL champs.

Only three PCL teams left in the tournament.
Ottoville will take on St. Henry @Coldwater at 6:30 on Wednesday.
1st game. Miller City will take on Allen East @Elida at 2:00 on Wednesday.
2nd game. Kalida will take on Delphos St. John's @Elida at 5:00 Wednesday.
Good luck to all 3 PCL teams.

Kalida had to be a surprise to most. Looks like one good pitcher can carry the league games when you are in a small league like the PCL. The tough part is when you are in 2 leagues like Grove and Leipsic.

I love watching Austin Swift of Kalida pitch, I just feel bad for him as it seems he never gets any run support. IMO this kid will be one of the top pitchers in the state in 3 years when he is a Senior.

Miller City defeated PG 6-3 tonight at 5/3 Field in Toledo for their rescheduled ALS game. Was a lot of fun to call.

I still think even with that being said guru that he has a chance to be fantastic.

I was at his first HS start and have seen what the kid can do. Heck he struck out 13 in a game in only his 2nd start, how many freshman can say that?

Sometimes great freshman turn out to be average seniors, everything has to fall in place for them. The coaching needs to be there, they have to want it. They can get girl friends , other sports, jobs ,cars, school etc. Some mature early and never do get much better. Hope it works out for him, but could be he goes down another road.

Very curious regarding the "shot" at the coaching staff and program.
Long time reader and I seldom post - but I sense a hatred for a coach and program
that has been good and consistent for many years. Care to discuss ?

I agree Rooney, being a fan of a PCL school I have witnessed many Kalida games over the years and for the life of me can't figure out what guru8 is talking about.

Maybe a former high school player who got schooled by Kalida over the years? Just wondering.
