5.3 ppg
40 of the teams 433 assists.
28 of their 339 steals
Those stats from her 14 games played.

Thanks, looks like Kaufman was a valuable player.........but bad things happen and Ottoville had 8 reg. season and 6 tournament games to work on things and with the undefeated record it didn't seem to hurt them too much.

Yup, just like how ottoville played liberty benton, where AC is from, who plays for Ohio State, who beat Michigan State, who Magic Johnson played for at one time. so technically Ottoville is a bigger deal than Magic Johnson?? My point exactly.

And even if bath beat anna who beat FL, if those patterns had to continue, because you know they always do, Its a matter of the players AND coaches to be smart enough to know what to do and adjust. I thought it would have been smart to pull Siefker out when she got her 4th foul, thats just me

SMH you lost any credibility to me from your last comment.

I would like to go over all of the Ottoville threads over the past 6 weeks or so and I would venture to say 2/3 of Mysterio's posts mentioned how much better the Big Green would be if they had Kaufman.

How many points, assists did she average this season when before the injury?

Stats do not tell the whole story. One player makes a difference especially if its on the defensive end.

So did I but the key part you are missing is depth. She woulda made a difference in my mind.
Depth yes but Courtney V was on the bench and could've helped. She can handle ball and shoot it. Don't get me wrong tonya is going to lead this team next year. She was hurt and prolly hurt inside more that she couldn't be out there. My point is we played prolly worst game all year. Fort Loramie won but they r not a better team. Darion rose is the real deal tho she is money.

Well just because a team you play beat another team, doesnt mean your gonna beat them, let alone a team who beat a team who beat a different team. That tidbit was pointless.

Congrats to the Big Green on a great season, unfortunately in the one and done format of high school tournaments, a bad game and you're out, and I"m sure Ft. Loramie had alot to do with it. Hard to make any claims with 32 turnovers (that's amazing) it's probably 3 or 4 games worth for Ottoville, all in one day. Hats off to outstanding careers for Siefker and Beining and good luck in college.

I understand that defensive stats are tough to quantify, but the defensive end wasn't the problem, it was the 32 turnovers........regardless you have to play with the cards you are dealt.........ifs and buts are one thing, but......every team that loses close games can go if/ but.......foul shots/ fouls/ injuries/ officials, etc. alot of factors need to go your way to win a state title. Ottoville had it against them today and that is difficult to accept because I can tell from the number of posts on the girls basketball side of this site Mysterio is a Lady Green superfan. Nothing wrong with that.

Again you do not understand. One player can make a difference. Either way this team could still have won it all. Refs were part of that problem.

Fair enough, I did not see the game, I can tell that you have your mind made up that with Kaufman and decent refs Ottoville wins state hands down. Have not heard anyone give Ft. Loramie much credit. Again if if and buts were candy and nuts...............

I would now like to remove myself from this debate.

and I can now join the conversation.............listened to the game today and it sure seemed like nerves were a problem for both teams........so with that being said, Ottoville people will say the refs cost them the game (for the life of me I can't ever remember when the winning team said the refs helped them win the game) and others will say that you can't let the refs become that part.........on Tuesday night, 2 of Leipsic's best players were called for their 2nd foul early in the game........a team must adjust........FL adjusted better and won the game........it was a great season for the Big Green and the memories will last a lifetime...........on the postgame interview I see where Siefker didn't blame anyone for the loss, only saying how tough it was to lose............it was a great season and only 1 team ever truly ends it the way they wanted.............RM

First of all....I want to tell sterio how sorry I am for him and his Ottoville Big Green girls.........you had a great run and a undefeated season.......but the first thing I would do is tell your coach and AD to start scheduling some teams to prepare you for the tournament.....and I know, I am going to hear all this talk about....well we play Lima Bath, the rugged PCl, Minster, DSJ, and whoever else you think is tough.....whoops, I forgot Crestview.....well, those teams weren't real good when you look at who was good this past season.......well, enough of that....

I was at the game, and 'sterio', I really felt for you and your fans after the game.....hell, I just went through it with my Jays this evening.....I did have a great day if you take the defeats out of the equation.....I watched Hiland win, Ottoville lose, and my Jays lose.....still a great day of 'March Madness.....it doesn't get any better......I also read the Lima News this morning before I left for Cbus..........and you know.....I love Karla Wenzlick(sp)......don't get me wrong, as I know her, but not really as a close friend......but, I loved her comment in the article.....it was something like this...."hey, if the Big Green girls lose, their fans will still love them"....how true this statement applies........those girls did everything under their power to win....and I felt so bad that they did not.....but that is what makes sports so great......it is life, and these girls learned a great lesson today.....even in defeat....so give them all credit and support when you see them.....

Now, my views on the game........in my mind, I felt Ft Loramie would give Ottoville fits......simply because of the pressure that they apply.....I stated last week that after they beat Marion Local, that ML was a very good team at this time and that for Ft Loramie to withstand such a comeback that Loramie was battle tested.....unfortunately, Ottoville wasn't.....hence the 30 some odd turnovers.....also, I really felt that someone did not handle the foul situation with Siefker very well.......when she went out, you could just sense the doom on the Ottoville players.......Beining was awesome today......why didn't Ottoville keep feeding it inside........for most of the game, Ottoville played out of control...........timeout....settle them down...but, Loramie's style forces teams to play out of control....so, I guess no big surprise.......as for the officiating........same ol....same ol....the games at state level are always called differently than what is witnessed during the season......so, I really can't blame the officiating..........I wish I could, because then I would blame the officials for the Jays loss this evening.....

Pretty much my take on the game........if Seifker doesn't foul out...Ottoville wins....there again, it is up to the coach to manage the player with the foul situation.....Ft Loramie's coach had a great game plan and it worked.....pressure.....Ottoville missed Kaufman.....I don't care what anybody says......it made a difference......was this Ottoville's best team ever......I don't think so, but I would never have even mentioned it was their best team ever........wth.........to be honest with you, I could go on and on......I really felt this was the year, and like I said.....I feel bad for 'sterio' and many of my Ottoville friends, but most of all I feel bad for the players....especially those seniors........

But, you know what......they will get over it....survive, and look back with great memories.....and they will always remember......even if we lose, the town of Ottoville will still love us...........and that my friends is what high school sports is all about........

Don't you just love it......I do!!!!!!

SMFH at this flounder sorry but what do you want them to do schedule teams 2 hours away? You got to understand the scheduling part of things and that it is done 2-3 years in advance. I am not saying this was the best team ever cuz it was not but the refs did screw ottoville over. Sorry but for a small school like them with low finances they did the best they could. Refs were the outcome of this and you can call bias on me all you want but I will argue this game to my grave it was that bad.

Also not everyone gets over certain things flounder especially if you feel like it cost you the title. Especially if it happened more than once. I am afraid that I will make enemies unintentionally over this.

Flounder I will not calm down until the officiating gets better sorry but this happened back in 07. Refs can cause the outcome of the game. Sure it's easy to use the countless turnovers as the escape goat. Flounder I will message you bout this cuz it's absurd and SMFH means shake my f head lol
