A wild one the last time they played.

Your thoughts on this one?

Heartbreak City for the Spencerville kids last year. I'm sure they would like some payback for that. But this year's LB team is a little better so that job will be tougher.

Good D3 district matchup. Neither team has much height, & Spencerville obviously has the revenge motive, but that can also backfire if they get too jacked up

Go ahead and say it....I'm curious.

Spencerville got out to a slow start last year. I think they were scoreless in the 1st quarter. If they want a shot, they will have to come out aggressive.

Scrimmaged Spencerville - a very athletic, strong, physical basketball team that could be a handful for LB. LB will have their hands full in terms of Spencerville's overall strength and aggressiveness but LB probably has more skilled basketball players. Hard to pick against a Williman team that has good skills - but Spencerville's strength/athleticism may be a difference maker against LB that is not very physical.

LB has lost 1 game this year by 2 points and beat several good teams. Guess they all were cream puffs. :sarcasm:

Man seeing that video STILL hurts as an alum to see.

Go Bearcats, lets get one here and then go for win #2 over the birds this season.

Cubbies - not sure what you are referring to here. I give LB accolades in my post, and do not discredit them a bit. LB has a very, very good team this year - my only point was Spencerville will pose some issues for them just as LB will for them. Basketball skill vs. Strength/athleticism. Toss up in my opinion, but both are very good based on my limited times seeing either team. Good luck this week.

No harm. I think the physical part in BB is overated. I will take atleticism/basketball skill over strength/physical anytime. I unfortunetely have not seen either team this year. LB is a good deal better than last year I have been told so if Spencerville is better as well it will be a great game.

Has anybody ever took the time to analyze the shooting percentages of teams b/4 they get to Elida, while they play in Elida (tournament that is), and after?

I was surprised to see Spencerville played so much zone due to LB's success from the perimeter, but then I got to thinking. What is it about that gym that makes it so difficult to shoot the ball?

The size of the floor I'm sure has something to do with the dip in scoring, but does it have a direct effect on the shooting percentages too?

Really, pretty routine for LB, when was the last time the Eagles made it past the district semis? Aaron Craft's soph or freshman year?

I think their low shooting percentage was probably caused by the fact that they didn't make very many of their shots.

Example.....shoot 20 shots....make 12.....that's 60%

BUT............if you only make 5.....that's only 25%

You make less...........your percentage goes down. Hope I helped.

Last year on the 3/4 court buzzer beater against Spencerville but before that it was during Craft's freshman year when they went through the Fostoria district. They are 1-5 in district games since being sent to the Elida/Lima Sr. district.

L-B fans don't like to hear about their schedule, but when you only play 4 quality teams out of 22 it can hurt at tourney time.
