Leipsic won the first matchup 64-52. Really like both teams and whoever wins I would like to see them move on past regionals.

I can see the winner of this game taking the BG regional.

Leipsic rolling right now.....I think they have a great chance to get all the way to Columbus....only team that could beat them in BG would be Toledo Christian IMO. I see TC-Ottawa Hills winner playing Leipsic in Regional Final in BG.

This should be a good one...
I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

Vikings are very athletic and that athleticism is starting to really show in the tournament. Scott Maag had two brothers play in the regional for O-G and one played at state. Don't think for a moment that isn't in the back of his mind as the Vikings make their way in tournament.

I agree with part of your post, but what do brothers have to do with anything? My brother is an electrical engineer but I have trouble plugging in the vacuum sweeper. (just ask my spouse)
We all want our kids to keep advancing as do the Grove fans and parents. I believe this will be a nip and tuck game all the way to the buzzer and hopefully we make enough big plays to stay alive on the tournament trail.

Well if Leipsic is as good as their head coach Scott Maag, says they are, by his comments in the paper, and radio comments, Leipsic should win by 40,

I will make the brave prediction that Grove keeps it within 40. I may be wrong...but it doesn't feel like many think Grove has a good chance. I do...

Badlnds....whats he supposed to say , they are terrible? He never said they were better than anyone else. He has confidence in them and they run and play hard for 4 quarters

I understand the confidence, its how he says it, or phrases his words.

I think this game comes down to foul shots. Grove wins 62-59

I think whoever wins this game advances to Columbus. That said Leipsic has never been to state and I think the Vikings take this one by somewhere around 6-8 points. If CG wins I will pull for them the rest of the way.....tough call since I know many good folks from both towns

these two schools have emerged in the PCL as the best the past couple of years and I think it is because they have football and no soccer.

Both good teams from the PCL..... but Leipsic a much better team, they win by at least 18 points.

If Grove can contain kuhlman and not let him hit six threes like he did in the first game and if they make their foul shots this should make for an interesting game! Grove 67-62

Yes... If we let this site "do the talking"... Paulding would already be in Columbus.

I was talking mostly in terms of sibling rivalry. Scott is a very competitive person and I think the thought of his brothers playing in the regionals and one at state has got to be fueling his desire to coach a team in the regionals and possibly state. As far as the game goes if Grove does control the tempo of the game and is able to stop Mangas on dribble drive penetration they will win. If not the Vikings move on. That aspect and the depth of Leipsic could also play a factor. However the fact of the matter is that Devin Mangas is the best basketball player in the county and also along with that the best athlete in the county. Stop him Grove wins. Let him run rampant, its going to be a long night for the Dogs. I think the Vikings win. I think they have what it takes to take it to the regionals.
