[Common Sense]

If that's not a flagrant foul, they may as well take the rule off the books. He took his forearm and hand and pounded Robinson's head. The ball was in his right hand, Craft was on the left side charging. You can go for the ball, but not through the defender.

Superbowl, your allowed contact for 5 yards did he get maybe 5.5 possibly. Funny how 49ers fans forget they held at the end of the Falcons game on the same type of play that got them to the superbowl. Bottom line he throws the pass better so it looked like it could be caught he would possibly get that call. Also don't let someone return a 108 yard TD run, or let a receiver get by behind everyone to catch a lame duck pass, that play doesn't even matter.
Better yet. Play the entire game like you did the second half and you are not down so much.
Ravens played better Sunday....

I will concede that the refs seemed to me didn't want to make that flagorant foul call at that point. But the MIchigan coach must have agreed because we didn't see him go ape over the refs decision, and Michigan did win. So OSU fans we can't complain Craft didn't get the call because in reality he clearly hit his head and whether or not it was intentional the new rule is blow to the head and Craft hit no part of the ball. Craft was lucky not getting that call. Refs were being diplomatic NOT because he is Aaron CRAFT but because they wanted the game to be won by the players not by a judgement rule. The rule is decided by the refs, it is not cut and dry rule though. That is why they review it.

Ok then, outside of a deliberate punch, or taking someone's legs out on a layup, WHEN would you call a flagrant foul??? I get that the officials don't want to be part of the game, but they are, and they are there to not only police the game, but keep the players safe. The other thing I noticed is that Matta didn't say anything at the end of the game. He's pretty emotional, I'd think he'd be jumping around like a lunatic on the non-call. I bet he knew nothing was going to be called there.

Last 2 games I have watched, the SuperBowl the other, the refs swallowed the whistle.

They didn't swallow the whistle when Robinson went to the basket a little earlier and Williams was called for a foul on blocked shot that looked a lot cleaner than Hardaway's on Craft. That being said, this was the best OSU has played all year. Why they don't try to find Thomas in game ending situations is a puzzle to me.

Wait a minute, How did the Ravens beat Denver? I believe A Bronco defender let a Raven get behind him wide open. So really the Ravens were as lucky is the 49ers.

I cared less who won that game. It was a hold and it was not called. Highlight for that game was Beyonce.

I certainly wouldn't bet against him being in the NBA. He has the intangibles that many dime a dozen NBA prospects don't have...he's extremely motivated and smart.
That seems like the typical "white" response, but he's much more athletic than people give him credit for. Trey Burke is considered very quick, and he can't get around Craft. In fact, he struggles to even get good shots off on him.
In the NBA, Craft will be more like two years ago as a freshman at OSU, he's not going to be called upon to score. There will be 4 other guys on the floor that can score, and he can do what he does best, facilitate. Mark Jackson had a long, successful NBA career and could not shoot, nor was athletic. He was smart and knew how to lead a team.
If he gets on the right team, he'll have a long NBA career.

Jackson is an interesting comparsison. He did average 17 ppg his second year in the NBA while starting in 72 games. I really don't see AC having that kind of scoring capacity especially in year 2. (If he makes it to the NBA). Jackson also shot 45% from the field for his career while making 734 threes.

Personally I think AC will get drafted and hopfully play for several years, but I liken him more to the Eric Snow reference in the original article.

But hey.....who knows.

I agree that depending on what team he ends up on. He will never be a 20 - 25 point game in and game out scorer. So if he gets drafted by a team that wants him to score well then they messed up, but if he gets with a team with say Carmelo who thinks I am the only one that can shoot. then I think he will be okay .. Take the Heat for instance. He could just feed Lebron, that would make cubbies day!!!

And that's true too. Eric Snow had a good pro career, he was on the Sixer teams with Iverson that was very successul in the early 2000's. Point being, there are LOTS of guys who can score in the NBA, facilitators are few and far between. I think you'd also notice his shooting would get better. Heck, Magic Johnson was a terrible jump shooter at Michigan State. YOu do one thing for 15 years and you're bound to get better.
