Bottom line is if the l-view girl had not responded in the way she did she would have missed no games. I can understand being upset getting up and pushing and shoving after being hit. My sympathy ended when she couldn't control her emotions on the bench and yelled and acted a fool on the bench. The coaching staff and administration of lincolnview are as much responsible as anyone in this situation. Where were the assistant coaches while the head coach argued his point. They should have been on top of the player and controlled the situation
The way the principal acts and conducts himself in public creates and atmosphere that promotes these types of situations. He is out of control, yelling, screaming. etc. at all athletic events.

Administrators should be above the fray and set a good example.

I already saw it. The young lady from Knoxville should be commended for her restraint. It was a big cheep shot with no foul call. St John's girl punched her in the face and ran over her knocking her to the floor. She sit there for a few minutes looking like "did that just happen"? Our DSJ fans would like to just forget it. I don't blame them, they must be taking their lessons from how Kenton handles discipline.

Aren't your ties with Covington......if so, then why get involved with something you know very little about....and DSJ fans could care less if everyone remembers this for years.....we did the right thing.....oh, and what happened to all the talk about OHSAA getting involved......I guess they felt that we did the right thing also......please dogg79, get more involved with what is happening in your area, rather than venture up our way and act like you were in the middle of the situation!!!!

If this was handled the right way, this girl would be off the team. One incident I can understand the punishment, but more than once? Nope sorry.

I have been to Covington 2x in my life, so wrong again, any why would where I am from be reverent at all? I do remember a school who had a girl bite a player during the game and she was given a 4 game suspension. OHSAA has no authority in their by-laws to take ANY action in a case like this. It's up to the school to do whats right. Apparently this is a case where most people including me feel like this was handled about as well as all the abuse cases have been handled by a certain religious institution.

Don't even go there unless you can present facts that back that up. You have absolutely no clue how either situation was handled, and I'll thank you not to attack my Church without concrete proof of your assertion.

I have always thought DSJ was the most public private school I had ever seen. I had defended them often in football as a private school who followed the rules. I still feel that way. My only question I have is why no discipline was given after 1st event by the school. I know the referee's missed it but I find it unsettling that DSJ staff missed it on the film, or even more troubling someone deciding that nothing should be done. The second event was handled properly by DSJ. In conclusion, I believe the girl should of been suspended for 2 games after the 1st event, Then a contract/agreement etc stating no more ...... That would of allowed the school to punish harsher for the second event. Lack of 1st event discipline complicated the second event for everyone. I have seen both events and have never witnessed anything like it in over 500 + games I have witnessed. Hopefully the young lady gets help. Good luck to all.

Why this girl was not kicked off the team beats me. Especially after knowing that she did this more than once. I know of players getting tossed off a team for other less severe things than this. My guess is they didn't want to make their valedictorian to look bad.

Who and what did they do that was less severe than this incident.....this should be interesting...if you are going to put it out there, then explain what they did that was less severe to warrant being tossed off the team!!!!!!!!

Well for instance flunking classes I don't see how that is any worse than publicly punching someone during a high school event. Look I can understand you are frustrated with this and want everyone to drop this but this is a big deal. A girl punches someone more than once and she is still on the team? How fair is that? Hence the topic of this. I respect you flounder don't mean any disrespect to you or DSJ. I would say this for any school.
