Interesting to note that two of the officials John Derryfairy and Jim Orn didn't see a thing. That is what REALLY needs to be report\ed to everyone who has to put up with their incompetence.

Wow-this is very telling and if OHSAA is investigating....maybe these guys will catch some heat. Pretty well known for "letting them play", I guess it's escalated to "letting them fight"

but, of course, if there happens to be any further developments, please start a new thread to let us know. thanks.

i'd be interested in knowing more about the happenings after the game and what actions are being taken in that incident...... feel free to PM me. thanks.

There will be no more action by the man (DSJ AD) who got assualted after the game as he took the high road and walked away. He did not lose his cool and realized what good could come from going after an obviously out of his mind grandpa. You can all say what you want, but the grandpa's actions after the game show that the apple has not fallen far from the tree. Both players may be good people and NHS members but their actions that night and in other games leave room for improvement. The other thing that has not been posted here is that there was bad blood between the schools left over from last Fall's soccer season. The two girls involved were a part of that also with Lview winning early in the season and DSJ winning in a shoot out come playoff time. Why not just reach a concensus that maybe a couple years away from each other would be a good thing. The current girls would be graduated and then restart the series.

In talking with a parent who was there and observed the whole thing, the DSJ player was the instigator and should have been identified as such by the game officials. Interesting to note that two of the officials John Derryfairy and Jim Orn didn't see a thing. That is what REALLY needs to be report\ed to everyone who has to put up with their incompetence.

As far as the DSJ player is concerned, this is far from her first rodeo.

All you would have needed was Mangas or Steve Trout in that crew to complete the 3 headed monster of lunacy.

Which is why she should be suspended the rest of the season. If this was a first time incident then sure two games is ok with me but the fact that it is not means she should be done.

Obviously the officials did see something... they had a flagrant foul called on the DSJ girl...
It's now the officials fault that the Lview girl melted down...

Once again, let's blame someone else and not be accountable for our actions...

Was disappointed to see him at a ball game 2 days later. Thought LHS should of stepped up and told him to stay away a couple days.

Again no facts to support ur accusations on the LHS girl except her blow up after being sucker punched. The DSJ has sucker punched 2 girls.

Kane/C-town.......

Personally, I have witnessed much worse during the heat of battle in basketball games.....she received a 2 game suspension...I mean what more do you want.....I am not agitated or annoyed, I just cannot figure out what you 2 expect as far as punishment....., and all of a sudden it is 4 games where this girl assaulted someone....you know, I could go out and review tape from many girls games, and would probably find more incidents than that....

Did you ever play sports guys....you may say you did, but I find it hard to believe......one of the worst things concerning playing sports is that you are competing and get so caught up in the moment that you as a player will do something that you regret.....I mean, it's human nature....I have been in that situation, and right now, there is no one who feels as bad as this individual.....does it make you feel better inside to keep pushing the issue....to this individual, the 2 game suspension is the easy part....the worst part is her feeling that she embarrassed her school, her parents, her team mates, her coach and anyone involved with DSJ.....I think she has suffered enough....it is a tough old world out there fellas, and this individual will see many things that pale compared to this incident.....I guess we should do as you state suspend her from all sports....after all, she is a very evil person....but also, if that isn't enough punishment, then maybe a 30 day jail sentence....would that make you all happy.......

Man, she was wrong....BZ and staff handled it properly....who knows what punishment fits the crime, but I feel it was appropriate.....if you want to continue the witch hunt then have at it!!!!!!!!!!

Personally I have not witnessed anything close to what happen in these 2 games.

Just because you can find other incidents doesnt make this right or lessen it.

Oh now we went to attack the messanger because your message is losing.

3rd degree battery will only get you 15 days in jail not 30.

getting caught up in the heat of the battle doesnt excuse sucker punching 2 girls in the face.

I'd be happy to nominate you for Van Wert County prosecutor or the Judge Roy Bean award (Hang em High) as you seem to have such a strong knowledge of criminal law. I would bet that you were not at the 2 soccer games last Fall so we can not talk about that. I will say that I am very impressed by the audio visual/Tv skills shown by people at Lincolnview. I do not have those skills but would hope you take a look at your Parkway game for any misdeeds that may have happened. Lastly, what kind of sentence can we expect you to give to the grandpa? I would classify that as assault and battery also but defer to your vast intelect on the law.

Kind of surprised something like this happened. Been to a lot of girls game and never do you see emotions getting so high that you see a punch thrown. Maybe a push and shove but I have not even seen that. Surprised they haven't suspended this girl the rest of the season.

I don't know if she can play that game? I thought someone said she got suspended for 2 games? Regardless, I don't see her getting into anything against Ottoville. No one on that team really has a temper or known to start shoving or throwing punches lol.

The worst I've seen Abby do was roll her eyes ,shake her head, shrug her shoulders and walk away.

Are either one of these kids underclassmen? If so. this situation may need to be addressed further. It could be possible if enough bad blood exists, it could mean a schedule change for future years. It may be in both schools best interest to find someone else to play.

Let us get rid of this topic, it is over and done with, decisions were made and that is it.

Amen. Suspensions have been served and there is very little left of the regular season with both girls being seniors they should finish it strong.

I hope you are not trying to be funny & making fun of the K of C's or Catholics or DSJ. If you are I have a problem with your humor.
