If I read the paper correctly, doesn't Leipsic return all but one player next year too?

Leipsic has two seniors this year, but they are second and third off the bench. Leipsic will also get their point guard back from a season ending injury next year.

How about this question while we are on great players/teams...name your top 3 players in the BVC in girls basketball in the past 10 yrs.

1. Amanda Hyde - tremendous floor general that made everyone around her better. ALways seemed to be in right place.
2. Amelia Recker - same attributes as Hyde; a tremendous player and could play all 5 positions. State champion; POY in ohio.

In no order....Miranda Palmer (great ball handler, best behind back dribble ever), Klausing from DJ (I know, not from BVC, but the best cross over dribble ever), Caite Craft (pure shooter, strong physically). I am missing several - I know Leipsic has had a few out there.

I was just thinking about how many great girls players have went thru our area in past decade....probably shouldn't have limited to the BVC but man if you could put together an All NW Ohio SMALL school team - it would be pretty dominant.

This is a tough one for me cause I can't even remember what I ate for supper last nite let alone remember players names. But if the Butler girl was in that 10 years, I'll take her as part of the group. LB had a nice player about 6 years ago Chelsy Kloepher (spelling is off) who holds the 3 pt. FG made in a game plus she reached the 1000 pt career even being injured most of her senior year. Bart Fergusen's girl who played at VB. She received a D-1 scholarship for BB. I'll think some more on that Post-eee! Thanks Post for helping me stimulate my brain.... :wallbash:

And then there were 3. Arlington knocks off McComb last night to leave 3 teams with one loss, and now three teams with two losses in the league this season.

It's going to be fun to see who comes out on top. Do think it will be a 1 loss team win it all. When and where is the battle of A-town and Arcadia?

With 1 week (plus a rescheduled Leipsic-HN game) left in the BVC schedule, Arcadia clinched at least a share of the title.

With a win over LB next week, Arcadia would win it outright.
An LB win would create a log jam for the title with up to 4 teams with 2 losses each with Arlington (PG next week) and Leipsic (VB next week, HN the 14th) joining Arcadia and LB.

Anyone know why the Leipsic/ Hardin Northern game was cancelled last night?

Horrible accident in Hardin County. Some asshole went left of center and hit a car head-on, in that car was the younger brother of an HN player.

Congrats to the Arcadia Redskins in winning the BVC outright, it's been quite a January/ February for the league. On any given night, you had Arcadia, Arlington, Liberty Benton, Leipsic, McComb and Pandora all fighting it out for the league title, any one capable of knocking off the other. Probably one of the strongest, deepest BVC's in many years.
