LB teams are always well coached, both boys and girls. Especially defensively.

Looking at the stats, LB hit 55% from beyond the arc and had two players with 20+ points. LB also hit 80% from the line. It looked like Kotey did a decent job on Ruhe holding her to 13 points and out rebounding her 6 to 5. LB as a team also won the battle of the boards, but turnovers evidently kept Bath in the game as their aggressive "D" caused 13 LB TO's compared to only 8 for Bath. That aggressive defense evedentily got them into foul trouble as well. LB shot 7 more FT's than Bath, but that would only be about 4 more trips to the line.

Sounds like a tight game that could have went either way. Good luck to both teams here on out.

Bath shot 42% from the field, usually that's good enough to win most games. Seems LB is picking up their game at the right time.

Since you made me go look now I have to post it!!!!!

Bath has beaten the Eagles 5 out of 7 times so far. Now I see why you only wanted to go back several years but not the last year of several years. LOL

Eagles won before last year 6 years in a row. You are wrong. Eagles won Hydes Jr. and Sr. year. and I believe all 4 years of Craft. You have it back wards. I was being nice.

Oh and game is a keeper, before Hyde's junior year LB had never beat the Kittens!! They dominated us!! The year Hyde was a freshman was the turning point to LB Girls BB. Coach Irwin has done great things along with having a system in place that will take an average team to a good team and a good team to a great team!! Just ask the LB boys coach......

Gaekeeper,

If I am wrong then the record books are wrong? Are you sure you are not looking at the boys record? If I am wrong I would be the first to admit it.

The Eagles played a great game and I think it was Meyer that was the difference in the game and how well she handled Baths defense. Good luck in the post season and I will be rooting for your Eagles.

I hope so. Little concerned about the home cookin' refs up there though
I expected to see this from a Bath fan leading up to the game, but then admits that home teams have an advantage and Bath benefits from it. It's a simple preparation for a loss. If my team loses I can blame it on the refs.

Every home team gets a little home calls. Bath gets them at Bath too. It's human nature when a call could go either way to give it to the home team. It usually doesn't matter but if the teams are very even, it will decide it sometimes. Anyone who was at the LCC Bathe boys game this year could see that. We would have won that game at Bath for the same reason.

RM, you were at that game. Did you think that charging call on Rockhold with us down two with a minute left was a charge?

It's not sour grapes, it's just true. Ruhe gets away with a lot at home.

My first LB game this year and I must say that I thought the ref's did a great job. Each team had a missed call here or there, but overall one of the better officiating jobs I have seen this year.

Home teams have a ref advantage everywhere. That was my point. You have to bring a little extra on the road. As for prepping for a loss. Yeah, I'm all broke up over our 4th or 5tn loss of the season. We're a real powerhouse this year

Snip
I was at the games, so I wasn't relying on record books. Hydes jr. Year was an exceptional game at LB, and one of the best girls game I have seen. It was on a Sat. at LB. LB won. Up and down back and forth. Hydes Senior year. LB went undefeated soo not sure how you beat LB then.
Craft of course was playing with Amanda so the overlap years LB won.
Crafts jr. and Senior year. Crafts Jr. Year I was sitting on The Visitors side at LB with Bath fans listening to them say how the streak was going to end tonight. Bath came up played well. But your coach when Craft was guarding your point guard "jessie" something She couldn't contain her, but he took the ball out of her hands and started launching threes and missing then. Craft basically took over in the 4th and LB won that game. Crafts senior year. I am almost sure LB won that one too, but i wasnt' at that one. so I think you have it backwards. LB is 5-7. Gracie is right in fact his daughter i believe in the first two years, one year got fouled and had a chance to make some shots to win the game. If I am not mistaken.

Ok. So you don't believe me or the record books. But you will believe Grace. Gracies own words are " LB never beat Bath before Hydes Jr. year. " And I hope you do believe yourself, " Hyde and Craft played together in Hydes Sr. year which is Crafts Jr. year." You did not see Crafts Sr. year game. I did. LB lost. That was a terrible game to watch.

So, to sum it up, I am right and you had the pleasure of watching the only two games (3 now) that LB won?

2010...Hydes Sr year and Craft's Soph year...LB beat Bath at Bath. 2011...Craft's Jr. year...LB beat Bath at LB. 2012...Craft's Sr year...Bath beat LB at Bath. 2013...LB beat Bath at LB. In the past four years, LB has won 3 out of 4 meetings with Bath. Excluding the 2012 beat down by Bath, the other three matchups have been very competitive and fun for any basketball fan to watch.

Baller,

Thanks for the info. And yes, both teams are very entertaining to watch.
