They don't exist anymore.

I saw a page for this for Lima on Facebook-thought it would be cool to talk about other places.

The Lost C/Susies Lounge - Just outside Versailles. It was called Crystal Ballroom before my time. Always had a good time-always met cute girls from Versailles. Usually drank too much. Saw Head East there. Saw a tough-man Ohio there too. State Highway Patrolman ended up taking me home that night as the guy I was riding with totalled his car on the way home. Was quite a surprise to my wife to see the Highway Patrol car pull in the drive at 3 am with all of us in the car. Building was tore down a couple years ago.

S & S Draft Haus - Place existed before McSobers started up right next door uptown in Coldwater. My home away from home. Played a ton of Foosball games there-loved the pizza, loved the drummer (Bobby). One of the owners was my wife's cousin. Building hasn't existed for many years......

Vessies/K & K/The Ranch - In the big town of Sharpsburg. Pretty much known as a place for underage kids to get beer. I didn't go in the place much, mostly stood outside. I was always of age when I went there-I felt OLD!!!!! Building has been gone for a few years.

The Other Place/Green Acres - This is where Bruns Building Supply is now outside Celina. I never went in when it was the OP-just hung out in the parking lot. Supposedly it was pretty rough inside. I did go to a dance when it was called Green Acres. I don't really remember a thing about it....don't know if they had a band...don't know if you could buy drinks or had to bring your own...biggest collection of drunks I have probably ever seen that night!

Ma Donisi's Pizza - A small place amongst the cabins on West Bank Road in Celina. She made a thin crust pizza that was seriously addicting. Place just kind of disappeared.....Not sure if the building is still standing orif it was one that was tore down for the hotel that is there now.

In Ottawa........G's Place- Mostly underage, heck mostly minors.........cheap patio furniture for those that didn't sit at the bar on a bar stool, $1 for 16 Oz. Keystone Lights, 25 cent drafts ( or free when my buddy was bartending). Great food choices: fried Bologna if you considered microwaved fried, hot dogs----same as the bologna, or popcorn.

Romie;s Corner- A few steps up from G's, but not much............great location though, right across the street from the high school.

not in Ottawa, but I have to give some props to Ed's Tavern in Cloverdale. You could walk in there sober and look drunk because of the uneven/ sunken floor.

Recently closed/ condemned places that I used to frequent- Maag's and Double J, both in Leipsic. When in Leipsic I now spend most of my time in Paradise Point------which is a clean, thriving place that I actually think is located in West Leipsic.

Didn't really "hang out" there, but always loved going to Bettie's Restaurant in Coldwater. It's a friggin' Chinese place now...amd I can't stand Chinese food.

let's see..........first and foremost was the Inn Between in Ottawa. Live bands, live women. Favorite "house" band of all time was McGuffey Lane out of Columbus. Then there was Yock's in Findlay in the late 70's......yikes, the stories we could tell! Over in Grove-town the old Tomac Club. Mostly fights on Saturday nights and if you were from Pandora, bring plenty of reinforcements. I think the story was that an angry customer burnt it to the ground........another fine establishment was the Wayside in Lima. (ie: see Inn Between above)......and who can forget the Cuckoo's Nest? Just showing my age here, but these were some of the great haunts that the kids from Pandora would turn to in our formative years......

There was a place in New Hampshire that I would stop into once in a while...I don't remember the name of it. But it was like one big room with a pool table in the middle. It burned down a while back.

It wasn't the bowling alley I went to most in Defiance, but I spent plenty of Friday nights/Saturday mornings at Holiday Lanes. It was just shut down and demolished in the last couple of months.

speaking of dirt/unlevel floors, if you've never been to Indian Lake w/o visiting Turkey Foot, you just haven't lived!!

*btw...if u ever hooked up with and stayed at the li'l cottage just to the left of Turkey Foot with two hotties back in the day, one of them was me!

**also, when i say "hooked up", it's not that "hooked up"....just sayin' :D ..... since we were right next to the bar, the ppl we'd end up meeting would stay and continue the party instead of gpoing home....we met so many awesome ppl at the lake over the years... great times!!

The 'original' Hoyt's Tavern (north of Ottawa on SR15). Great bands. Ernie and Orville behind the bar. Marie at the gate.....and pretty girls on the dance floor.

(The 'new' Hoyt's in Kalida is real good too. Jeff Hoyt (yes he's related) owns it and does a great job)

Hoyts Tavern in Ottawa was a great spot to stop in to get a late night sandwich and beer. Also back in the day yours truly liked to go in there to have a couple shots of "knuckleberry" blackberry brandy for you purists. Throw a beer chaser and I slept like a baby when I got home.

Cuckoos nests, inn between-(loved McGuffys Lane), 1996, Rusty Nail, zagonaos pizza ( spelled wrong I'm sure). Beer Barrel ( in 76-77)! I was usually in one of those places ever weekend.
