On another thread Rocketman has #1, in his poll, Ottoville winning by 5. Not sure LB's bigs can hang with the Big Green's size. Eagles may have an advantage at the 1 and 2 positions. Can't go against the pro, this could be very interesting game. LB will need scoring from others who have not done much and play w/o defensive breakdowns to pull off the upset.. What does Ottovile have at the guard positions and will this be a close game?

uhhh, 5 pts. is a close game

and if you would take LB's 19 pt. win and O'ville's 17 pt. win vs their common opponent............I just calls 'em like I's sees 'em.........RM

and I believe that Ottoville will be falling out of the top spot even before this game is played........

Ya but you can't do that. I understand why you would use that common opponent point differential. But everybody plays their opponent differently. Some have off nights while the other may have a great night. I mean I could easily say well Ottoville beat Bluffton by 41 points which Arlington only beat them by 5. And here Liberty Benton loses to Arlington by 1. So I know that's a little out there but just trying to make a point. I simply look at the matchups for each team. Some may have an advantage over the other. LIke mentioned above, Ottoville has the inside presence while Liberty Benton has the guards. Ottoville tends to struggle against teams that have good guard play. With this game being at Liberty Benton, it will be a lot closer than it should be in my opinion.

Lady Green don't handle the pressure as well as they have in the past. Could be an interesting game. Coach Irvin will have the Eagles ready. Still I like Ottoville in this one. 47-40

Big Green win big, I expect an 18 point win for Ottoville.

LB doesn't press - this team is very different than in years past. Good size, although not compared to Ottoville - but LB's Simon is a shooter, not a post player anyways.

Myers is a good guard and Simon will shoot 3's - I think the question is whether or not LB can stop the ball from getting into post. Thinking that O'villes good guard graduated last year, but I could be wrong.

Probably be a close game. I would hope this is Ottovilles year in DIV and LB has struggled out of the gate...I will go with LB in a close one based on better guard play and at LB. LB by 2.

Is the game on the radio today, and if so, what station? Thanks

Was very impressed with Ottoville's guards. Picked the LB guards quite often. The strength of Ottoville in the inside was a huge mismatch for LB. The Big Green are a very nice team. Will be interesting to follow them the rest of the season.

ND, I agree with you. I was expecting Ottoville's guard play to be down some, but they were more than adequate. Beining is a nice compliment to Siefker, she did a reverse layup that although she missed, was pretty sweet to see her try it. That's a team with depth to it, they can go eight deep without losing a lot.

So much for a close game, WOW, I believe they may be the real deal this year. Still many tough games left, especially Bath, Leipsic and the Blue Jays, Minster. Should be very interesting. Hi Jim Bucks...

There is only one word to describe this game for LB and it is "UGLY"! LB came out flat and lethargic on both ends of the floor. LB was not prepared for Ottoville! The guards could not execute the LB offense. The LB coach's whining to the referees was unnecessary. He should've focused more energy on coaching his team and making game time adjustments rather than bantering at the referees. Ottoville out coached LB today and came prepared to win! I like Ottoville's chances to make it to Columbus this year.

Maybe Bath.........the other three teams will be lucky to get within 20 points of the Lady Green.

Von,

In my opinion, this is the best Big Green team that coach Kleman has had yet. I imagine they may have a close game or two remaining this year, but I would also not be surprised to see them win the rest by double digits. Beining and Siefker are a handful for most squads.

I know Leipsic has a couple of "bigs". Don't know how they stack up, tho?

Man, did I miss on this one. Ottoville takes a big step by beating a very good program team, although this is not LB's best team for sure. Good luck to the Big Green - I hope this is your year (outside of an upset by the Lady Devils!). Classy program and coach and now a very good group of girls that can take them to Cbus.
