GOOD ONE, you got me there. PUT THE KOOL AID DOWN, who says that?
Paulding Panthers WILL have a great season, you can agree or disagree, I couldn't care less how anybody else feels, I speak positive and highly of these boys because they deserve it. What happens on the court will speak for itself. I KNOW exactly what THIS team is capable of. Looking forward to November 30th!

Wow things seem to be heating up over here in NWC country. I just hope everybody can remain respectful. Lcc will be great as expected but dont fall asleep on this paulding team that creating-ballers is talking about they certainly got my attention at one of these tournaments over the summer. I will be sure to be following them from a distance.

It is hard to compare summer ball to what happens Dec-Mar. Summer ball is basically like pickup basketball, much different then season ball. I am Not saying Paulding will Not be good, but it is hard to base it off Summer ball. I think 18-2 is a strech, but anything is possible I guess.

KahneFan, I am not a big Brewer fan either, but I think their is enough talent within the players that this team can and will make alot of noise. I think he MIGHT have just enough basketball IQ that the greatness in the players will actually carry him. If their are issues with this team, the issues will be coaching, but I 110% believe everything will fall into place and they will be very successful. The PLAYERS are that good.

And thanks PowerPressure, I see you giving these boys some outside support, I CAN NOT WAIT FOR TIP-OFF TIME SO ALL THE TALKING CAN STOP!

Summer Basketball is nothing like pick up basketball, other than some teams pick up the best high school kids in the area to try to build a great team. Season ball teams play for a State Championship, Summer ball teams play for a NATIONAL Championship. If anything it is more like College ball to the fact that alot of recruiting goes on, this Paulding team just went as a school team for the experience and memories as a team, and they did great. And 18-2 is NOT what I said they would be, I said 20-2 (they added 2 games this year). And I'm not even sure they will lose 2 games, unless they happen to get out-coached, but like you said, ANYTHING can happen, but I know these boys can play with anybody on their schedule. If you ever watch college basketball, pay attention to the commentators a little bit, they ALWAYS talk about what AAU (traveling team) a kid comes from, they rarely talk about the High-School itself.

Me personally, I support both to the fullest, THE MORE BASKETBALL, THE BETTER!

You honestly think they can go 20-2 or 22-0? In Summer bal you do Not necessarily play with players from you school, therfore you can get matched up good players from other schools that can make you look good. II watch College basketball, yes they do mentionn AAU stuff, but they also usually mention what High School team they played on. Especilly if their team won a STATE Championship.

If you really think they will go 22-0, 20-2 based on Summer ball, you Might be in for a big letdown.

OK, do I think they will go 20-2 or 22-0, I am not sure yet, there are a lot of things that factor in, in order to have a season like that (Injuries, coaching choices, etc.) I am well aware of how tough it will be to conquer a season that great. Now do I think they could have a season with that kind of greatness? I know it is possible, these players are truly that good. They are loaded at every position , and they are 10 solid players deep.
I am 100% positive that this group is going to do alot more winning than losing, and I don't see the problem in believing in these young men. At the beginning of this topic the question was, "What are your thoughts on the NWC?" I simply gave my opinion and people didnt agree, well I don't agree with theirs either but that's irrelevant. I KNOW that there's some tough competition in the NWC, I just believe that Paulding will rise to the occasion this year. (TIME WILL TELL)

People disagreed with you because you came out with crazy predictions. Your credibility went down a little.

I was also at that tournament at ONU and I saw those kids play, at first I didn't know who they were cause their team name was VENOM but after talking with people and them saying it was a paulding team, I was highly impressed on the level at which they played at. Some very good talent, I wouldn't go as far to say they will win 20 games but if they play at the level I saw them out watch out NWC, might surprise some people

In the summer months they were coached by a Coach Mendez & a Coach Camarillo.

And crazy predictions to whom? I am very confident that Paulding will come out in either 1st or 2nd place in the NWC. Paulding & LCC will be the top 2 teams in the conference, which ever team comes out on top the night those teams play will win the conference.I don't think these predictions are far fetched at all, and for the record, I am NOT one of those people that say Paulding is going to be good or even decent every year, I just know what they are capable of this year.

Was it Ted Mendez? I've heard many people talk about him at AAU tourneys, many said he was a good coach but I don't know anything about the man

I noticed that they were coached well this summer too. Not sure who the coach was but seemed to have a very good on and off court relationship with his players.

I think Crestview, Grove ect. Might have something to say about 2nd place. I truly doubt Paulding beats LCC, but Anything is possible.

No it was not Ted this year, but it was his son along with Coach Camarillo. They did a fine job coaching, but the players on the team were the real stand-outs.

And yes, I agree that Crestview, Grove, and everybody else in the conference will have something to SAY about it, but Im looking forward to seeing what happens on the court. I don't think any of these teams are going to lay down for their opponent, but the season is VERY near, and somebody has to win ball games, and I can't wait to see who that is..... Probably Paulding.

I was wondering the same thing, hopefully he is healthy for basketball, he's very important to that Crestview team.

The question that I have...will Frank Kill be able to control (stroke) the egos on the floor of all the superstar athletes that he has on his team this year?
Last season I felt that Ty O'Connor was the glue that held the team together. Who will be able to do that this year? There are some very talented but explosive(in good and bad ways) athletes on that team.
