Who in this crazy world called Rocket Corner, should ever have the audacity to debate someone who has six (6) state titles and thier high school number posted at the end of every post. Let it go folks, sometimes you just can't win!

The game will be played on Friday night and in most (not all) the best team will win. We all know and understand how good the MAC really is top to bottom. Some folks just need to keep reminding everyone, to stroke their own ego's.

Good luck Panthers, we all know your going to need it!

Marion Local is the defending state champs in D6, and are the favorites in this game....until someone is good enough to beat them, they are the favorites......it isn't like ML is a also ran....we aren't talking about Shadyside here.....this is Marion Local......McComb should not take Local lightly.....they are a much better team than DSJ.....and McComb!!!!!

It is not BJ's high school number I belive it is the kid who passed away last year after the Leipsic game if I remember correct. Good Luck McComb, be nice to get the W and get state title just do not see it happening.

Not sure I see it as stroking his own ego or more like just trying to make someone understand that a victory over DSJ does not equal an easy victory over ML.

If, that is the case, my sincere apology and in no means trying to disrespect that tribute to a young man! Sorry

My simple assessment is:

Marion Local is better than DSJ
McComb is better than DSJ

So I say let's settle this is a fascinating and groundbreaking way....

.....Let's play a football game between McComb and Marion Local and determine who is better between them.

Shocking. :o

jeffcat -

Wow. This is a groundbreaking post for you, my man! A simple response to put to rest a inane conversation. Usually you have an inane response to complicate a simple conversation! :D

Seriously though, VERY well put.

The reply to you is correct. It is not my number, but Kent Staup's number, a DSJ player who passed away just before Thanksgiving last year.

So... just curious, Blue Jay, when McComb beats ML, are you going to be on here saying Newark or Mogadore are better than McComb as well? No excuse will be made on my part if the other outcome occurs.

No, he will side with McComb if that happens. He has zero respect for anybody outside of NW Ohio.

lol true. He just seems bitter that the mighty MAC may not be exerting their dominance on the BVC this year.

I caught flack for predicting Leipsic and McComb would beat them as if it was outlandish idea. I know.

Exactly. I understand history repeats itself, but trends break. This year's BVC teams are better. And this year's MAC teams are weaker, excluding Coldwater of course.

No because the winner of this will win state. IF (not when) McComb beats M-L, they will win state.

Also I would not say the MAC is weak at all. Your first place team barely managed to beat the #4 team in the league who was dismantled by Coldwater, shut out by double digits against M-L, and lost in OT against Minster in the rain. The MAC wasn't down at all. You'll see this Friday night :)

In comparison to other years, the tops powers of D6 MAC football are down.

Lol just because DSJ was down doesn't mean the D6 MAC powers were all down. Minster had their most-successful season a loooong time. St Henry made the playoffs for the first time since 2009. Both of these teams were beaten by Marion Local, the defending state champions who have only lost 2 games (to D5 schools). DSJ was down. The D6 MAC powers as a whole were not.

MSML 45 McComb 14... McComb barely beat a mediocre DSJ team. Sounds like McComb has a big head right now. Don't let it get to you Friday or we will see you crying on here Saturday.
