Jesus, even in a loss, you are touting the SOS myth. :shrug2: Hartley played a pretty mediocre schedule from my view, and they won. Norwayne played a cupcake schedule last year and won state. The list is endless. McComb(and almost Leipsic) won because they had the better team....period. The schedule is irrelevant. Glenville plays cupcake city, but they have built that program up to be relevant in the state. Colerain doesn't play in the GCL, but does a hell of a job in their own right.
I'm not saying it is impossible. It doesn't make your team any worse in playoffs when you play an easy schedule. But, when it comes down to the last 5 minutes of a close game, the team that has been there before will be a little more comfortable in that position than the team that hasn't.

I'm not a big Mangas fan but you're bitching about the wrong guy.... No way he sees that camera view from where he's at, doing what he's supposed to do - which is trail the play for the spot. Your venom needs to be delivered at the back judge in the end zone that would have possibly seen your camera view. Bottom line is, neither did. Tough break for DSj or any other school in that situation but maybe you guys can get your licenses and replace those 2 officials and make EVERY call correct. They are human you know....

Correct. It happened so fast. Just lucky to catch it in that frame. Really cant blame any of the refs. I thought he lost the ball after hitting the pylon...which would be a TD.

I'm not blaming 'Goose' for the call....someone said he made the call...I just responded...and I know refs are human...just that Mangas, and 2 others have a history of making some very questionable calls against DSJ in other sports....if you will notice, I mentioned that the Jays lost the game and did not blame the officials....McComb deserved to win...they outplayed the Jays in this game...they were the best team....I am not crying about the call....just amazing to see the ball out of his hands crossing the goal line!!!!

I have mine. I was only there to watch. I'm not from delphos nor do I live in delphos. Your saying NO WAY can Kevin see the play cause he's trailing. Good point. Then why did he signal touchdown ? This wasn't a holding call or a block in the back which every week become questionable calls. This was a fumble in plain view. Not good when 2 guys miss a out in the open fumble. This isn't about being human and perfect "a pass interference call ........ Or a judgement call ". This was a fumble in the wide open.

I was there as well on McComb's side as a spectator with no dog in the fight... I didn't see it either. That camera did though... Looked to me he outstretched the ball at the pylon and got in...those officials probably did too... can't speak for them. That's what my eyes told me.

I was there on McCombs sideline about the 5yd. line and Language wasn't trailing the play. It was clear from the stands and to everyone around me that the ball was out. Not mad about the call being a BVC fan but it was clearly a blown call.

So we might see BVC vs MAC in the DVI and DV state semis?
Don't like BVC's chances at all in D4 as even the most blue of blue LB fans will probably admit they're quite lucky to still be alive after a game of negative rushing yards. D6 they have much, much more of a chance, but the Panthers will have to come down quickly from a big win for themselves & the BVC & realize back-to-back weeks of this is what MAC schools face all year

To be honest with you the BVC has no chance in D4 as we have no D4 teams in the BVC. So I guess you are correct.

I wasn't saying they are going to win state semis. I was saying there could possibly be BVC vs MAC match ups in both state semis in D5 and D6. I was correct. However, LB will need a few more turnovers if they want to get within 2 TDs of Coldwater. I like McComb's chances against ML though.

You're acting like they just knocked off the undefeated MAC champs. Stop

Its annoying isn't it? Now you know how every team feels when you MAC people throw that in their faces. Great game, tho.

Usually it isn't a MAC champ going against a 4th place finisher in a league though. Usually it's a 3rd to 5th place MAC team with up to 5 losses thrashing an undefeated or one loss league champ. And if it is a MAC champion, it's usually a blow out. Hence the chants :)
