TheFan, paperboy......

Where's the love.....the most fun in high school sports is beating a rival who everyone feels is superior....sorry to have offended you, but LCC made the NWC better......LCC will survive and the NWC will slip to mediocrity......and no, I did not light off the fireworks....fireworks and those freekin cowbells are 2 things I wish the Jays fans would forget!!!!!

The most impressive thing about LCC going 55..5 while they wre in the NWC is that 30 times NWC teams had to play in Lima over a period of 6 years and nobody got shot
A day hardly goes by anymore where you don't read or see on the news where a shooting has taken place in Lima......my wife, kids, and I always used to enjoy going shopping
at the Lima Mall vs. the Findlay Mall and then going out to eat.........whether it was the Kewpee downtown, Bandidos, Casa Lu Al, Milanos, or wherever.........now, you won't catch me
anywhere near Lima........I can remember years ago we would go over to the "Firehouse" on some weekends........Paddy Macs was also another good place to stop.......not for me
and anyone who does is just playing the lottery with their life..........

The agreement is that the two years (2013 and 2014) the NWC schools and LCC must honor the contract. The only way out of a game is if BOTH teams agree to no longer play AND they can both find a game for that week. If not, they are still playing. So far the only teams to get out of the agreement are Crestview and Paulding. Yes, LCCs schedule for the next two years is as follows:

2013

Bath
Delphos St. John's
Marion Pleasant
Columbus Grove
Delphos Jefferson
Spencerville
London
Bluffton
Allen East
Ada

2014

The exact same, but Bryan will replace London in week 7.

I have heard rumors that DJ has contact LCC about trying to get out of the agreement as soon as next season. We will see if that comes to be or not.
LCC plays Elida week 1 in 2014 no?

LCC plays Bath home and home (each team getting a home game) with Elida and St Johns doing the same and then they play Elida the same way 2 years and switches back to Bath for 2

If you feel this way about Lima then you should never leave your small community or your house for that matter. The shootings in Lima target individuals, mostly drug related and if there is an innocent person that gets shot I would have to, most of the time, question their innocence in the first place. If you hang around the wrong group you will get what is coming to them and yourself. There has not been a shooting in Lima where people go to the mall or anywhere else and say look at that family lets go shoot them.

Your statement about Lima is absurd!!!!

Come now....isn't this pushing it a bit to far?? I work and run my business on the south end of Lima. We have never had a single problem or break in. Thru out the past 7 years I have been in Lima Stadium by myself after dark and during the day. I have never ever felt unsafe there. Yes there is bad in Lima, but give me a town that does not have it. Have you read about the muggings in Findlay or Toledo yet? The drug problems in Delphos and Ottoville? What about the knifing in St Marys and the killings in Celina?? Bad thing just don't happen in Lima. I mean really...... much of the above is due to drugs.....still you could open your door to a neighbor who is also a good friend but suddenly with out you know he just lost his mind and thinks you're the devil, so he pulls a knifes on ya.

Spring fed well. Will never dry up. Even if it did, new wells would be dug in other school districts.

TheFan.......

Now, that is more like it.....I totally agree with you about Cooper, but remember, he was in the NWC before he went to LCC.....funny thing about Coop.....I don't remember the NWC communities despising him so much when he was at Grove......I can somewhat understand the feelings of the NWC schools toward LCC......I just feel that LCC will make this conference more respectable.....I also don't think LCC will have a run on athletes forever.....sooner or later, the well will dry up!!!!!

You are joking right?

We all forget the evolution of the athlete. When you chase the best you get better yourself. Taking LCC out of the NWC will better LCC but in my opinion it will hurt the NWC. You can hate LCC all you want but you will have to agree teams have gotten tremendously better since LCC was in the conference. One team i think that has gotten better over one year would be Ada. After coming off a year where they got blown out by LCC and this year fight them to the very end. I hope the NWC makes major strides and gets better and I hope the tougher scheduling makes LCC a better team in the long run.

Scheduling making you better is a fallacy and it is proven time and time again. Quite frankly, I'd say the NWC has been up and down in a lot of regards. Ada doing well, had nothing to do with LCC and everything to do with Fell taking over as coach there.

I wouldnt say its a fallacy because as a former player of LCC i remember getting my butt rocked by DSJ for 3 straight years but that drive over the off season to beat DSJ was so important that it raised me and the rest of the teams playing ability. I always believe in the method you play the best you get better not just players but coaches also. I think Fell got better on how to coach his team against LCC and i hope next years game will be even better because Ada wants some revenge.

LCC played a "tougher" schedule before they were in the NWC by playing the elite teams from the NWC and the elite teams from the MAC most of the time.....yet LCC was TERRIBLE during that time. Example #1.
