I for one, loved your post and I see nothing wrong with it......it is just the kind of statement to make after beating a conference rival....it's a shame that LCC is leaving the NWC...no more feuds, excitement, and the conference will remain somewhat stagnant....by that, I mean they will not get better as a whole.......and most of all, there will no longer be that one really big game to look forward to during the season....you know, the one where you are competing against the best(LCC) in hopes of knocking them off their perch and accomplishing something that will give you bragging rights for a whole year..........I think in the long run that the NWC will miss LCC!!!!!!!!!!

To the NWC.......enjoy the mediocrity!!!!!
Now that LSCC will be independant and play a much more competitive schedule (so I hear) ..... how long will it take Coop to fly the "coop"? After your early exit in this years playoffs... yet again.... we'll see which direction this team goes. In the meantime, the NWC will finally be able to get back to a conference that actually has some class. Out with the garbage!

Oh Flounder.... the all mighty one.... I believe the NWC will be just fine!

You must be the maroon that shot off the fireworks after DSJ wins during their streak.

TheFan, paperboy......

Where's the love.....the most fun in high school sports is beating a rival who everyone feels is superior....sorry to have offended you, but LCC made the NWC better......LCC will survive and the NWC will slip to mediocrity......and no, I did not light off the fireworks....fireworks and those freekin cowbells are 2 things I wish the Jays fans would forget!!!!!

Quit being so bitter. Talk about class? How about the middle aged "men" standing on the track talking ******* to an LCC player after he dropped a pass near the endzone. Classy....

Good luck next season now that you have a chance to win the conference again.

There's a whole lot of people that heard EXACTLY what these men said to the player too. Can't jump on others about "class" when your community lacks it as well.

Flounder.... being an Ada alumni... I never did think LCC was a good fit for the NWC even back when LCC and Ada were both on the other end of the standings. Nothing personal... just feel they have an advantage when it comes to filling their rosters in all sports. Also, I just despise Cooper no matter which team he is coaching. I have several friends / employees who's children play for LCC and fortunately they have "much" more class than a lot of the folks on this site. I do wish the young men who play for LCC the best and hope they achieve their goals this year and for years to come. I just have a bit of advice for some of them.... refrain from posting on the Rocketcorner! :pickles: The maturity level on this site continues to decline daily.

OMG, some ridiculous post here to go with a ridiculous topic. The second LCC started producing some D1 college talent was the point where they outgrew the NWC. Look at Darius West, he ran the fastest 40 out of the corners that were invited to Urban Meyer's friday night lights, he's getting D1 looks and offers, same can be said about Ty O'Connor last year. Do you think that these players are going to progress their game by playing Paulding, and Allen East. They are in a whole different situation than 95% of the schools in their division, Ursuline to be included has the entire city of Youngstown to draw from, and they are able to be a D5 school by their parochial school status. Now with an independent sched they can play some more challenging schools with similar resources (Hartley, Ready, TCC, T St. Johns, Alter etc). With that being said no more recruiting talk or banter, which is probably a bad thing for this website seeing how that topic is a 15+ page of activity.

As for the NWC, we'll be fine, we've had football and basketball teams represent the conference in state tournaments before LCC joined the conference, and I'm sure we will get there from time to time in the future.

So, let me get this right... a player from one team messes up and the other team's fans "heckle" him for the mistake. What's this world coming to????? They should ban those fans from ever attending another sporting event for the rest of their lives. :sarcasm:

A group of men obviously working for Ada were standing at the goal line on the LCC sideline. An LCC RB dropped a pass right in front of them and one of those men called him "a little b*tch"... A 40 year old man saying something like this to a 17 year old student and You guys try to act like were the worst community out there, but you act completely oblivious to the fact that you do it too. Don't even try to tell us that if it was the other way around, LCC wouldn't be talked about for such "classless" actions.

Oh, may I add that the same man turned around to us at the end of the game and yelled, "go out and recruit some more." Hahaha that just made it feel that much better to go out with another title.

TheFan.......

Now, that is more like it.....I totally agree with you about Cooper, but remember, he was in the NWC before he went to LCC.....funny thing about Coop.....I don't remember the NWC communities despising him so much when he was at Grove......I can somewhat understand the feelings of the NWC schools toward LCC......I just feel that LCC will make this conference more respectable.....I also don't think LCC will have a run on athletes forever.....sooner or later, the well will dry up!!!!!

Heckle? The middle aged ada fan called him a b*tch. Doesn't surprise me that you support their actions. I agree, they should ban them. What are these idiots doing on the field anway?

Arguing about being classless and then squeezing in a classless comment of your own. :hifive2:

Seriously, all BS aside, LCC and Ada have been the cream of the crop in the NWC since LCC entered the NWC. Short of a couple of years where LCC has been favorites to win easily and one where Ada was, Ada has always 'had a chance' to win the conference. Did LCC get more than Ada? Sure. But Ada got some and were legit contenders in others.

LCC was never a fit in the NWC for many reasons and many felt that way since the beginning....that's why they were voted down the first time they tried to get in. However, I think there are a couple of NWC schools that would actually like to continue playing them and hopefully they can.

The most impressive thing about LCC going 55..5 while they wre in the NWC is that 30 times NWC teams had to play in Lima over a period of 6 years and nobody got shot

Am I correct that 2013 and 2014 are the (LCC/NWC) scheduling agreement years? Has LCC announced their 2013 schedule? Are all NWC teams honoring the scheduling agreement or is it allowed to be on a school by school basis?

The agreement is that the two years (2013 and 2014) the NWC schools and LCC must honor the contract. The only way out of a game is if BOTH teams agree to no longer play AND they can both find a game for that week. If not, they are still playing. So far the only teams to get out of the agreement are Crestview and Paulding. Yes, LCCs schedule for the next two years is as follows:

2013

Bath
Delphos St. John's
Marion Pleasant
Columbus Grove
Delphos Jefferson
Spencerville
London
Bluffton
Allen East
Ada

2014

The exact same, but Bryan will replace London in week 7.

I have heard rumors that DJ has contact LCC about trying to get out of the agreement as soon as next season. We will see if that comes to be or not.
