They beat Ada 56-14. I know that. And Ada was better last year.

LCC 48
Ada 20
ADA was NOT better last year than they are this year.

Ada's success runs through decker. I think LCC slows him down tonight and cruises to another conference title 41-14.
Well, the rumors about rain are true. It has been raining steadily all day.

If you look at Ada's points given up last year vs. the amount given up this year they are a hundred times better than last year, but they did take a little step down on scoring from last year but they still put up some prety decent numbers!

Numbers don't mean anything when comparing seasons honestly...especially when you play TE schedule Ada does.

Ada is no where near as good in three areas and this is why they aren't as good as last year.

1 Baker is far superior as an athlete running the offense than Acheson.
2. Ada's secondary is worse.
3. Ada's line (both sides) aren't as good.

Baker was/is extremely good but I disagree with your other reasonings. The secondary has been solid this whole season. Besides Paulding's Lance Foor going up and getting a couple balls the secondary has been solid and has made clutch plays in the red zone. I also believe they're statistically one of the best in the region in terms of INT's. Your 3rd reason, the line (both sides), have been phenomenal all year. I understand the competition isn't as good but those interior sophomores have done an outstanding job all season.

You can always say the team isn't better than the previous year because a couple stud athletes left (Beaschler, Baker) but in terms of the competition they play, 9-0 versus 8-1 at this point in the season speaks for itself. The Bulldogs are better this year.

The competition isn't better this year. The league as a whole is terrible. Crestview is not as good, grove also fits in that category. Paulding, while bad last year is even worse. Allen East and Bluffton are probably the same. Jefferson improved slightly but not enough to merrit huge strides. Spencerville is the only team I really see improved.

I get such a kick out of reading these posts.

Soooo many people that really don't know, picking the favorite, giving analysis when they really don't know the teams that well.

And when numbers don't support the argument........Numbers don't mean anything anyways!!!

Good Luck to both teams........Pray for a safe game playing in this mess.

acheson is better under pressure than baker, baker would scramble way to much when it wasn needed. like I have said before Acheson is a better QB not a better athlete. both lines are quicker than last year and stronger then last year. the secondary last year was horrible. bluffton/ delphos/ crestview/ lcc /and grove handled the defense last year. Ada has controled both sides of the ball all season. Best defense of the Fell era.

No way it's better than when they had Weber, Weyer, Beechler, and Gibson, with baker, and Jackson.

Field conditions are a major concern tonight. War Memorial field has taken a pounding from the Crestview and Delphos Jefferson games. Man I wish it wouldn't rain, poor conditions can really hinder your game plan.

I haven't been on here in a while, but boy am I glad I did. This post right here just about made me reck my car, lol.

Before the season, this same poster blasted me for saying that Huffman was the best high school player on the team and that the coaches would all say he's the most valuable.

Now, he's arguing the exact opposite to prove his current point. Why anyone would put any stock into what this guy says is beyond me, though I'm sure few do. He's like a politician; well-spoken, long-winded, and lacking substance.

With this info, even ole jeffy now has to agree that, looking back, my pre-season analysis of LCC was spot on (unless he's like to flip flop again).

Tonight, LCC will win by 14-28 points. This is just a terrible match-up for Ada. They won't have any type of deep passing game tonight with LCC's secondary (easiest prediction of the night), so they'll be forced to run and throw laterally. Running will yeild some success, but throwing and running laterally won't. So they'll score some points, but they'll have their share of punts too (or maybe Fell will try another fake early in his own territory, lol).

Where they will struggle is defensively. When Ada was legitimately good, they had a set of linebackers that were standouts. They're not there anymore and haven't been replaced, IMO. With LCC's skill players, Ada will just have the same struggle matching up that they had last year. LCC lost O'Connor, but they replaced him with, IMO, a very good high school QB and they returned very good players everywhere ether.

And as for the importance of college prospects, like I said before the season, being a stud prospect doesn't guarantee team success. With that being said, it does say something about the skill level-athleticism combination that the athlete has (see West guarding Baker in basketball last year for proof, lol). Washington (who even Fell called the best RB around, btw), West, Rogers, Pitts, Huffman, Stewart, B.C. Stolly, and Lasenby are all better pound-for-pound raw athletes than anybody on Ada's roster, IMO, and they can all play as a result, will all get better scholarship offers as well.

When the talent level at the top is that different between teams, it usually results in scores like 59-14. Does that mean Ada can't win? Absolutely not. LCC is vulnerable against teams willing to control the clock, keep the ball between the tackles, and not give up the home run. Combine that with LCC's general discipline/penalty issues, and they most certainly could lost tonight...

But it ain't gonna happen. LCC 49-21.

I told you in the same post, that you could call him the "MVP", not the best prospect...just like you just quoted me as saying. :pav: Started pre gaming a little too early again I see.

Seeing Ada both years, Ada is definitely a better team than last year. How much so, is still kind of up in the air.

Very impressive, Ada went 52-8 during that same time so there were some pretty good match ups thru that period.............
