Flounder...link? I would liketo read thecomments you speak of.....could be some good reading

And Radioguy...I would LOVE a link to what Fell supposedly said about his OOC games......Don't think that was ever said by him

I would like to see links to both of these things as well.

Not too long ago Hardin Northern was a state championship team and a football power house. Typically the contracts last 4 years with an OOC team so you can't blame Ada for still having them on the schedule. Also, I'm not from Ada but for as long as I've payed attention to Ada football, Hardin Northern has always been the week #1 game so there could be a little rivalry there.

Not quite sure why Ada schedules USV in football though. If someone could clarify the reasoning of that game I would like to hear it.
You gotta remember there always has been a rivalry between USV and Ada, not just in football but in every other sport! Not to mention that they are five minutes away from each other! The other year USV called out Ada and wanted to be put onto their schedule. Well... you know how that turned out.

No I was just saying someone said they were favored by 22 and I wanted to know where they found that.

Big'nSexy,
I am the one who installed the Tbirds as a 22 pt. favorite.............I've been doing this longer than Calpreps, Louie Pasteur, Maxpreps,, and all the others.....
I have no idea how I stack up against them.......I don't use a computer and i don't visit with a Seer......... I handicap the games based on an innate knowledge
of high school football and all of the emotions that go with it............LCC is leaving the NWC after this game. If Coop needs anything more to infuse his troops
I can't think of it.........take the 22 if you must...........RM

If you don't like the spread on his pick ems it's an easy solution. Take Ada +22.

Just a question because I don't know. Was Ada one of the teams that voted to get LCC out of the confernce. I was told coach Fell was one who wanted them out. (Not sure if this is true just hear say)

Coach Fell said that he didn't care if they were in the conference or not. He said that he hopes that Ada keeps playing them every year.

Technically there was never an official vote to oust LCC. The league came to LCC and told them that the member schools wanted them to devise a plan of withdrawal from the NWC and using their own exit strategy would benefit them more than if the league actually voted to remove them immediately. That is how the 2 year scheduling arrangement came to be, etc. So there is no real way for us to know who truly would have voted to keep versus voting them out. I do know two of the major players in that whole situation were Crestview and Spencerville.

Fell as said on the radio he would like to continue playing LCC but that's easy to say when the reality is that it can't happen. Once LCC leaves the league, they are only left with 8 football playing schools. This will mean non-conference games weeks 1-3 and NWC play weeks 4-10 (unless they invite another school or two). LCC has made a pretty long term agreement for week 1 with Bath and Elida, and they will be moving the rivalry game with DSJ to week 2 in the future. This only leaves LCC and Ada week 3 and LCC has already signed a 4 year deal with Marion Pleasant. My point is, it's easy to say you would do something when you know the reality is it cannot happen. I'm not suggesting that Fell doesn't actually want to play LCC as much as I'm saying its just a moot point.

I have been told by people inside three NWC (one soon to be former) athletic departments.

Interesting...anyway, what's up with Huffman being the only one I could find being recognized by scouting websites if West is the LeBron James of football, Johnson is the next Ted Ginn Jr., and Washington is better than Decker?

Sorry if this sounds brutal...I'm trying to bring some humor to this forum because we're talking these athletes up like they're Greek gods or something lol

We're not necessarily talking them up just to do so. In West's case, we were trying to say that with him, Huffman, Pitts, and the speed of LCCs LBs, Ada won't just be able to throw the ball all over their secondary. As for Washington and Decker, Washington seems to be bigger physically, but IMO they are both very good running backs with good speed and it is hard to tell who is actually the better overall player.

Personally i haven't seen anything about Johnson on here.

Reffering to not being able to find anything on the recruiting sites, I just looked it up and found:

West - Ranked top 200 on Scouting Ohio. Found some articles about his Friday Night Lights performances on Rivals. He is also on Scout, 24/7 Sports and on the ESPN (Recruiting portion) of the site with video of his 1 on 1 performance at the NFTC camp.

Couldn't find anything on the others except for Washington's profile on NCSA and Scouting Ohio.

LCC's schedule will gradually increase in strength, raising the level they play at IMO. IMO their easy (aside from DSJ and sometimes Ada) hurts them.

First of all... Who is Johnson? LCC doesn't play a Johnson. And you evidently didn't search too hard for Darius West if you couldn't find anything. A simple google search on "Darius west Lima central catholic" brings the following as the top 5 hits:

Sophomore year highlights:

Darius West profile:
http://247sports.com...rius-West-21833

Camp Standout West has Michigan in top two
http://www.maizeandb...iting&Itemid=96

ESPN Player profiles
http://espn.go.com/c...873/darius-west

Michigan St Scout.com profile for Darius West
http://michiganstate...c=1&nid=6185839

You couldn't have done too extensive of a search seeing as that took 2 minutes.
