Is this the same thing you used to say LCC is favored by 22 points on Friday? Bishop Ready sucks completely overrated.

Not sure where I ever said LCC is favored by 22 points in this game. In fact I challenge you to find one post I have made stating LCC is a 22 point favorite!

However, to save you the time in going back and looking, the post that said LCC is a 22 point favorite was posted by rocketman who said he installed a 22 point line for the las rocket pick ems this week I believe.

Do a little reading and research before you just throw accusations out there.

And for the record, Calpreps has LCC beating Ada by 11, 31-20 I believe. And Fantastic 50 has LCC picked to win by 6.

The other thing is the complete hatred and severe anti LCC bias is ridiculous around here sometime. Rather than people saying "wow Ada's non-league schedule was terrible with the combined record of 1-17 and LCC played Ready and St. John's who are 13-4 combined (with DSJ having 3 of those) thus giving them a tougher schedule" you all attack LCCs non-league opponent as being overrated. Over rated or not, they are going to finish 7-2 with their two losses to two very good teams in LCC and Hartley. And I would rather root for a team that played an "overrated" Ready team than one that played USV and HN.

On top of that, all of those people who want to say Ready is no good and overrated, what are you basing that off of? 99.9% of you have never seen them play, couldn't name one guy on the team or what style of play they are. How in the world can you honestly sit here and say Ready is overrated. It would be like me saying Creston Norwayne, Toledo Central Catholic, or Ursuline are overrated. I personal know nothing about these teams so how could I logically draw any kind if conclusion, good or bad, about them?

Don't you think Ada would have loved to play a tougher non-league schedule? Or that at least HN and USV were better than what they are? They haven't really helped us in the computer rankings. People act like it's easy to just switch opponents from year to year. HN is 10 minutes from Ada and up until a few years ago, one of the best teams around. It has been the week one game for Ada as long as I can remember, similar to CG and PG or Bluffton and CR playing opening week. And if you asked most USV faithful, they would have predicted a much better record than 1-8 going into the last week of the season. Not to mention that Ada & USV people don't seem to like each other very much and games between the two in any sport are usually pretty good. Even if Ada wanted to play someone different, you have to look to see if they are still under contract and you have to find someone with the same opening week that doesn't require you to drive to BFE to play. I just want to see a great game between two great teams on a beautiful night on a field not compromised by weather, where everyone's best athletes play and stay healthy and they game is decided by them. And hopefully, Ada will come out on top. GO DOGS!!!

I agree. In no way am I blaming Ada for taking the easy way out. I just think when comparing the two teams schedules, 7 of the games are against the same teams, 1 is against one another, and 2 are non-league opponents. When comparing DSJ and Ready to HN and USV you have to give the strength of schedule nod to LCC. That's the only point I was trying to get at. I have no doubt in my mind that Ada would love to play games against teams better than those two and I also understand that the HN game has been played for quite awhile. I would even advoacate that Ada doesn't stop playing that game as long as HN has football because there is some tradition around that game.

I've been saying all season that the out of conference schedule was a joke. Hardin Northern, God Bless 'em, but they had like 15 guys on their roster. USV showed potential but you can't say they were going to finish above .500....
Someone told me Coach Fell was on TV in the past and said that he likes to schedule those weaker teams in the beginning of the season to get some easy wins.....smh

And weather report still shows rain-chance for a higher temp

Weather Channel-low of 41 with 60% chance of rain
Wunderground-has 30% chance with fully overcast skies
Accuweather-low of 38, 25% chance rain, foggy
Nat'l Weather Serv-low of 45, 50% chance of rain

If Ada's season is any indicator for the weather, this one will probably have to be finished on Saturday :wallbash:

You can take your race card and shove it where the sun doesn't shine buddy. No mention of skin color was made. Just a reference to the collection of players LCC now has that have fleed from the Lima City Schools. When a good percentage of your kids fall into this category you deserve to be called Lima Senior Catholic.

There have only been 20 some kids that have come to LCC since open enrollment and voucher system has come up, most are going to Elida, Bath, Shawnee and Perry, but noone says those schools are recruting.

Ready is NOT overrated, they are a very big, fast and physical team, Plus they are all Juniors, so to say they are overrated at 17 years old and going 8-2?? I would take that overrated!!!

Ada would have a tough time with Ready and St Johns where as LCC would do exactly what Ada did to USV and HN

I do not remember him saying that he wanted to play "weaker teams" it is hard to schedule non- league teams in years past their week 4 opponets were Toledo Christian 2 years ago and Fort Loramie before that. Fort Loramie is currently going to make the playoffs and Toledo Chritian might go .500 but Ada stopped playing them because of Toledo joining a conference.

Not too long ago Hardin Northern was a state championship team and a football power house. Typically the contracts last 4 years with an OOC team so you can't blame Ada for still having them on the schedule. Also, I'm not from Ada but for as long as I've payed attention to Ada football, Hardin Northern has always been the week #1 game so there could be a little rivalry there.

Not quite sure why Ada schedules USV in football though. If someone could clarify the reasoning of that game I would like to hear it.

I think it's safe to say that LCC's non-league schedule was tougher than Ada's (understatement of the year). And pretty sure there will be arguments about recruiting any time LCC is mentioned (until the OHSAA just gives up and lets kids go wherever they want because I can't think of a single school that hasn't benefited in some way shape or form by a kid or kids moving into their district for athletic i mean academic reasons). Can't do anything about either one. All we can do is enjoy a great game between 2 great teams with a lot of great kids.

I just barally said that the only other teams that Ada could play are on the other side of the state and USV was the only close team that Ada could schedule.

Well, LCC will need to come out a new schedule soon...why not fill the USV game with LCC?
