With LCC having a turf field as their home field I doubt they have the cleats that can be replaced with longer spikes.

I don't care if he has offers from every D1 school in the country, he is only one guy and no matter how he projects as a player at the next level he can only cover one guy. so you can game plan to avoid him, effectively taking him out of the game on defense.

I was making a point towards somebody that said he wasn't an all around player. Not saying he is unstoppable or going to be the player that decides the outcome of the game.

You can buy them for like 1 dollar for 10 cleats at Lima Sporting Goods. I know being a previous player at LCC Cooper hands them out for every potential muddy game.

No, no, no...what I'm saying is, the LCC players probably have the "molded cleats" which are much lighter than the "detachable cleats" since their home field is a turf field. Regardless, if the field is as muddy as it has been all year, the players could play with 2 inch cleats and it still wouldn't matter.

Just how bad is the field after thee mud games in a row? Also how soon will one need to get there to get a seat or are they moving more bleachers in?
I know that more will be moving in for the playoff game which will take the bands out of the stands.

A muddy field would probably benefit ada. With that said, all this talk about lcc playing on turf is crazy. They play on turf one day a week if they have a home game. They practice every day on a mud pit of a practice field.

Ada's Defense is going to be the strongest that it has been since the Spencerville game Austin Dumbaugh fractered his growth and has not played since Spencerville which will make it so only one d-lineman will have to go both ways (Elijah Roberson). And only one linebacker and 2 db's going both ways which is the least people going both ways since coach Fell has been there. And if Ada's offensive line can maintain their blocks long enough for Acheson to pass one of Ada's recievers no matter who guards them Give Acheson time and he will make things happen.

You're right...just because LCC plays their home games on turf doesn't put them at a disadvantage playing on a muddy field. What a muddy field will do is negate their ability to make the necessary cuts needed to break away from defenders and use that speed. Heck if I was Fell i would have had the caretaker of the field let the grass grow to at least ankle high.

Wow....I feel so honored to make the Ada vs. LCC forum my first forum I post in, EVER! Anyway, if you tweet @WONB_Tyler, @WONB_Bryce or @WONBDan you will probably hear your name on the air. Not your real name but your Twitter name if it's appropriate. Tune in to 94.9, or online, this Friday to listen to the best crew in Hardin County.

Lastly, you can call me biased if you want, but I'm going to go ahead and take the Bulldogs in a pretty low scoring affair, 20-14!

Agreed...and by the way I think it is great for him and the conference and the area that he is so highly sought after. Back to the point, so he takes away Ansley...Ada still has Wilcox and Roberson that some would argue are just as effective.

I think Ansley is a really good player but when it comes to receivers for Ada, I think Roberson is more of a threat to LCC. Great speed and really good hands. Going to be fun to watch!!

You can take your race card and shove it where the sun doesn't shine buddy. No mention of skin color was made. Just a reference to the collection of players LCC now has that have fleed from the Lima City Schools. When a good percentage of your kids fall into this category you deserve to be called Lima Senior Catholic.

Less than 20% of the Ed Choice kids even play athletics and off the top of my head, there may be 6 on the entire football team. Nice try.

Don't forget about #4 Brenden Szippl! He's truely one of Ada's underrated players. When LCC watches film and try to guard Ansley, Wilcox, and Roberson with just Darius West and a couple average secondaries.. They won't be thinking too much about Brenden. I'm expecting a big game from him on Friday.. Go dogs :punk:

The issue with your logic is there aren't average DBs after West. There is West, Huffman, and Pitts back there that can lock down ANYONE that Ada has to offer.

That's an opinion. Who have they really had to "lock down"? Sure, i don't doubt they're talented. But of course a solid secondary is going to look untouchable against bad teams.... That being said i don't think Ada is going to try and win it in the air anyway. Decker is obviously their best weapon. I look for them to feed him early and often.

Or 5th or 6th in the MAC. Maybe 7th.

For what it's worth.... Calpreps projects them at 9-1 against the 10 MAC schools with three of those being practically even games.
