St. Paul would definetly have their hands full with Delphos if they met this year. St. Paul should be able to use this year to build for the future though. They start a freshman, 4 sophomores, and 4 juniors on defense. Offense is similar. They are only graduating 7 seniors, and have talented classes coming up

I love the St. Paul football program and have a lot of respect for their entire coaching staff with playing against them in high school. Making the playoffs would be great experience for their very young team this year. That would definitely give them an edge heading into 2013.

St Johns will get to host at 6-4.

I'll go out on a limb;
1. winner Leip/McComb
2. St joe's at 9-1
3. Loser of Leip/McC. Leip could end up 8-2 and still get 3rd
4 St Johns at 6-4
5. St. Paul at 7-3
6.Arlington at 7-3
7. Ottawa Hills at 7-3
8 Calvert at 5-5

If St paul goes to 6-4 they drop to 8th. Imo this is the field

Drew Pasteur's week 10 prediction based on week 7 info:

Region 22 Projections
1) St Joseph Central Catholic (Fremont) (9-1) 17.80
2) Leipsic (9-1) 17.00
3) Mc Comb (9-1) 16.95
4) Calvert (Tiffin) (6-4) 11.85
5) Delphos St John's (6-4) 11.55
6) Ottawa Hills (Toledo) (7-3) 10.65
7) Arlington (7-3) 10.40
8) St Paul (Norwalk) (6-4) 9.80

So I take it that this is assuming Leipsic loses to LB and beats McComb? Wonder how Drew came to that conclusion.

That wouldn't surprise me nor would it if Leipsic beats LB and loses to McComb, or beats them both. Three pretty good teams there.

But to answer your question, you would have to ask Drew. :)

Drew is projecting Calvert to finish these last three games with a 2-1 mark. Calvert probably has the toughest finish to predict. The Senecas have put together some really good games this year against Norwalk St. Paul and Seneca East but following weeks have laid duds to Woodmore and Carey. Offensively they've been streaky but that comes with starting a Soph at Quarterback I guess. He played badly in both of those losses. Like I said in earlier posts, Calvert could easily lose/or win these last three games. All three of these these teams are rivals, with two of the schools located 10 miles from Tiffin. Should be a great finish...

I'd have to agree. There is a lot of uncertainty in the MAL to wrap up the season and has a great effect in R22 and R18 for teams across the board, including Liberty Benton.

What to watch for tonight in Region 22:

1. McComb plays Arcadia which will essentially eliminate Arcadia from the playoff chase
2. Leipsic probably hold another opponent (Cory-Rawson) to one score or less. They have done this six times so far.
3. Arlington picks up their 5th win with a victory over Hardin Northern
4. DSJ gets a very tough Versailles squad (My old h.s coaches team), who beat Marion Local 24-14 a few weeks back. OUCH!
5. St. Paul takes on a different Plymouth team this year. A team with 4 wins, who should be able to make a game of it. (Upset Alert?).
6. Ottawa Hills should continue their winning ways against a bad Danbury team.
7. Ayersville plays a slightly better team in Hicksville, if the Pilots can get a win their playoff chances increase a bit.
8. Crestview has lost three heart-breaker's this year and this could a be 4th to eliminate them from post-season contention.
9. Toledo Christian plays a nasty (7-0) Northwood team. However, the Eagles still have hope of making it to week 11 even with a loss.

After Friday (Oct 13) Games.

Region 22 Playoff Berth Probabilities (projected cutoff 9.95)
St Joseph Central Catholic (Fremont) 100% (7W-100% 8W-100% 9W-100% )
Delphos St John's 100% (5W-100% 6W-100% 7W-100% )
Leipsic 100% (8W-100% 9W-100% 10W-100% )
Mc Comb 100% (8W-100% 9W-100% 10W-100% )
St Paul (Norwalk) 98% (5W-63% 6W-99% 7W-100% )
Arlington 96% (6W-80% 7W-97% )
Calvert (Tiffin) 91% (4W-24% 5W-92% 6W-100% 7W-100% )
Ottawa Hills (Toledo) 88% (6W-18% 7W-100% 8W-100% )
Edon 10% (6W-1% 7W-22% )
Ayersville (Defiance) 7% (5W-1% 6W-78% )
Toledo Christian (Toledo) 4% (6W-85% )
Monroeville 3% (5W-27% )

My sleeper Monroeville would likely only get in if Tiffin Calvert or Ottawa Hills lose out according to these calculations. And, of course Monroeville would have to win their final two as well.

Calvert loses to SJCC 16-14. Fremont made a 32 yard field goal with under a minute left to seal the victory. Calvert actually held the Streaks high powered offense to under 180 of total yards but Calvert turned the ball over 5 times! And, even when they had the lead 14-13 with under five minutes left, teams don't usually win when turning the ball over that much.

Tiffin Calvert 14 Mohawk 8. Mohawk scored their only points in the first quarter. Calvert held SJCC to essentially one touchdown last week, as the other touchdown came one play later following a bad punt snap in their own end zone. Defensively, Calvert can play with the best of them.

I did skim read your post so I missed your original point. But according to your scores you have given up 20 or more points 4 times, lost 4 games and gave up 48 to McComb. So to say you can defensively play with the best of them is kind of a stretch. Just say'n

We shall see what happens. No one asks you to win pretty as long as you get the W. I'm hoping the Senecas gets a rematch against SJCC as a 2/7 match-up in Week 11. Fremont has a beautiful facility.
