I'm not exactly against it, but it's somewhat counterproductive on the small school side as it just consolidates small schools like DSJ, McComb, etc. and just keeps them together with even less competition in their way. I believe Ada(I could be wrong) might be D6 and possibly Marion Local, but I haven't checked lately. Even so, it just makes the road almost cupcakelike for D7 teams that could win in D7 with ease and probably D6 as well. The shakeup above that won't be quite as dramatic though, outside of a few notables in each division moving down. The bottom line is it makes small school ball almost more unfair and less competitive.
The best thing I could hope for out of it, is that when Ridgemont makes the D7 playoffs annually, that their program will eventually get more competitively.
