Point? He struggled there, and that's a fact. I don't understand your point in telling us how long he's been gone or been at Ada.

I don't think anyone here is claiming Ada recruits. Just pointing out the ridiculousness of a poster from Ada (who has also gained from kids transferring in) saying that LCC is effectively cheating when kids transfer there, and in turn saying that Ada's transfers don't count because the kid already had friends at Ada.
Agreed. I never said Ada recruits. Just pointed out tunnel vision in saying one school benefitted in something, when the poster's own school just did as well. Nothing more.

I'm just saying you can't compare him to when he coached at Celina When his first season at Ada he went 7-3 and made the playoffs and has ever since.

Even though Ada is looking good this year. I don't think they will win the region this year. Too much competition. They have the talent too, but they have to be experienced, with a new quaterback and those young offensive lineman (3 sophmores on the line) i don't know if they can do it.

mike fell is definetly the best coach in the nwc...i mean he completly turned the ada football program around right when he arrived...arguebly the best around

Cooper did the same thing, I would have to look it up, but LCC was 1-9 maybe 2-8 the year before he got there and they made the playoff's his first year at LCC with pretty much the same group of kids.

When things are going good and your team is making the playoffs or at least competing each week you have a good coach, I feel any school that Coop or Fell are at the community will embrace them because of their past coaching success.

Good Luck to both schools and I hope to see a great game week 10 heading into the playoffs for Ada and LCC, it will be a good test for both of them.

Not to discount Cooper's coaching, but they had some nice classes coming in when Cooper arrived....which was part of the reason he made the move anyways....he always moves to where the talent is.

He should be a scout! It seems like LCC, Columbus Grove, Hicksville, WG, and Bath all happened to have some of their best classes ever while he was there.

Even with the 3 sophomore offensive linemen, I feel that they are actually doing better than previous years due to their athleticism and aggresiveness. You say that Ada is not experienced anough yet they have many returning letterman, much more returning than previous years. Like I said before, if Ada gets better every week then they are going to make it far into the play offs! You can count on that

Don't forget the 1 season he spent at Lucas when he coached that team to a 9-1 season. A team that didn't even play football the year before.

LCC did lose to LB in the playoffs last year. No one brings that up LB beat the top team in the NWC at LCC. You can't say that the BVC is weak. :punk:

I for one, never said the BVC was weak. I think the NWC is weak outside the top two teams. I just think arlington is weak lol.

Quite frankly, they really did. LCC had talented classes and teams coming up before he even arrived. He left Grove the year after the Blaine Maag train and company graduated.

This team is not better than the 2009 Ada team. Easily Ada's best team I've seen.

Now a days number of returning lettermen really don't mean diddley squat....we live in the world where everybody gets a trophy. You have someone get on the field for five special team plays a game to give the starter a break and they earn a letter...

I agree with BlueJay...this isn"t close to being one of Ada"s better teams.

I would say that this is the best the Ada defensive squad has looked in quite some time; however the offense isn't no where near as good as it was the past several years. (Especially 2009) They will need to win with Defense and hope the offense continues to improve especially at the QB position and line play.

The offense is averaging 49 points per game so far I don't think that their offense need to hope their defense can stop people. There is only one main thing they need to work on and that is the Offensive line. And their starters have only had to play one full game this season.

They are also averaging 280 passing yards a game and 250 rushing yards a game. That is over 500 yards a game and you are saying they need improvement?
