Can ya'll believe it's already March 12th? Just feels not that long ago the State games were being played.

Going to stand by what I said I believe Wapak will compete for the WBL and will beat Elida when going head to head. Div. 2 is our downfall would love to drop to div. 3 because I would have seen a long run last year.

Just checked highschoolsports.net. This is correct. I'd assume that since we're down Southview wanted a better challenge and backed out....looks like Leipsic is now our jamboree game at home the week before the season starts.


Defiance's scrimmage schedule:
August 7th- Bryan/Waite
August 11th- at Lima Senior
August 16th- Leipsic

On one hand, that kind of sucks. We've scrimmaged Southview for as long as I can remember and they really helped us prepare for the grind of the WBL season. Plus the last 2 years we played at the Glass Bowl so it was a nice way for the kids to not only play in a college stadium, but to play under the bright lights before the season started.

On the other, Leipsic is some fresh blood and has had success lately. I would have rather found a school closer to our size, but they should do just fine for helping us do what we need to do.

I still haven't gotten a full word who is going to be our (Kenton) quarterback come this fall. This year the GO BIG OR GO HOME battle won't be between Kenton & Wapak. or Kenton & OG... it will be between WAPAK and OG.

Anyone have any insight as to what week WAPAK and OG clash?

My prediction for Kenton?... 3rd or 4th.

Need to worry about all the games prior to this because teams will be pumped up to play us now with Frye at the helm. I do believe we have the talent to go undefeated this year but never know how the ball will bounce.

Well, with two-a-days starting today the 2012 season has officially begun. Now only the 3 week wait period until the first regular season game.

Any word or insite about van wert? I heard they had a coaching change and they will be switching offenses for this year. How do they compare to last years 0-10 team?

I don't know much about them, but I couldn't see them being worse than last year. How much better though, no clue. I don't see Bryan having a problem with them next week though.

The Lima News Football Preview was in the cafeteria at work today... Van Wert expected to be basement again, according to their predictions.

From what I have heard, the starting fullback for Wapak has been kicked of the team for.... well a "poor decision"
