LCC will lose. Even though they are the more talented team. Just like football. LCC's schedule isn't challenging enough for them with the amount of talent they have assembled. Maybe LCC will realize the NWC did them a favor by showing them the door.

Really? LCCs schedule will cause them to lose? Please. They won a state title two years ago with less talent and the exact same schedule. Im not too sure if LCC loses tonight, their schedule will be the reason why. It will be be because OG out plays them and deserves to win the game.

I disagree with the less talent statement. They were very talented and better coached. No offense to Frank, he's coming along just fine.

Less talented?? 2 Stolly's, Steiger and Kirkman were pretty good, and I'm not buying OG's strength of schedule being a big advantage in this game tonight. LCC's non- conference schedule is made up of 6 WBL teams (one of whom they played twice) and other traditionally solid teams (Delphos SJ, Liberty Benton, Lima Senior)

I'm not so sure any Titan fan or LCC fan can feel too comfy that either team will come out on top. I have to be realistic and admit that from the last meeting the Birds should come out on top. But the team they played earlier isn't the one that has been showing up for O-G lately. And I know the same goes for LCC but, O-G definately had more room for improvement. But....O-G's ugly team shows up periodically. When LCC's ugly shows up.....it's still pretty to watch. Hopefully both "A" Teams show up! If they do I predict 57-54 with the win going to ..........................?

I am going to guess both teams "want it" a lot. ;) My hunch is that it will come down to talent, skill, coaching, and who has best prepared for the moment. Those are the typical factors that win these games. All the "want" in the world means nothing if you have not prepared. Safe to say that both these programs are where they are at because they have prepared better than almost EVERYBODY for the past decade or so...

...along with the fact they are the area's most consistently talent-laden programs!

I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

Their schedule isn't challenging?? Bath twice, Grove, OG, Crestview, Spencerville, LB, Ada, Elida.....I guess they should start scheduling D1 teams to appease haters like you....Don't get me wrong, I don't like LCC, but I still recognize a good team when I see one....

To clarify - "want" to me is all what you do to prepare, execute, and finally believe! In '78 the T-birds were the prohibitive favoirites agaisnt us ( O-G). In the regular season they more than "handled" us. They had more talent than we did , more height, better shooters - blah blah blah ..... but when we stepped on that floor we believed we could beat them ..and we prepared for exactly that outcome.
So "want" to me is not a simplistic as you have stated, or rather insinuated, but I think you now have a better understanding of what I meant when I read it.

And don't forget the cheering sections.....if one or the other take their time getting back to their seats after a potty break or a stop at the concession stand at half.......then momentum will shift in the 3rd qtr and she's all over.

I am curious - how did Bath beat LCC twice this season?

You know the adage: "on any given day".... for LCC it was X 2 versus Bath. Goes back to what Dman & boater eluded to......preparation and desire.

I thought that gym was so hot on Wednesday, I can't imagine how it will feel if its sold out or close to it!
For whatever reason the a/c was not working or not on during Wed. late game. Very poor. Hopefully they have solved the problem before tonight. They spent alot of money to have such a uncomfortable setting.

LAst night it had to near 90 degrees in Savage Hall @ U of Toledo? Have to wonder if it is a budget item? Heck they had to save a ton of money though this winter as mild as it has been??
You have to think with the NCAA women's tourney coming Saturday everything will be @ 100% ?

Was told LCC only sold 800 tickets on Wed. OG sold 1700+ for their Wed. game and had people on both sides of court.
