The most experienced failed to make the call. He looked over at the other official and the least experienced stepped in quick and got them all 3 together. Least experienced made the right move.

Its never going to change how people feel about a few referees or the referees as a group. As long as there is a losing team they will be part of the reason in people's minds. What I have noticed in watching 40+ yrs. of high school basketball is that as a whole they are getting a lot more into the crowds reactions and what they can hear people say who have courtside seats. It used to be it didn't matter what was said and the referee would completely ignore it. Now they jaw with the fans and it only makes it worse. I saw a whole row of fans get tossed at a sectional game this year because the referee didn't like whatever it was they were saying. They need to do their job "good or bad on the court" and get a check and leave.

lefty.....

Alot of truth in your post, but I think the mentioned refs have done terrible jobs even when my team won........that is where some people don't get it......I have never blamed a loss on a certain basketball official......officials don't turn the ball over, miss foul shots, and make many game changing mistakes....most of that falls on the players and coaches......I am just saying that a few officials are just very bad the majority of times......I know it is a tough job, but hey....give us some hustle and don't act so arrogant......whoops, I fell back in to my old ways of telling it like I see it.....I hope I didn't offend anyone as that was not my intention!!!!!

Hmm wonder what the chances of Trout working OG-LCC if they meet in Regionals would be haha

It seems like the more we talk about sportsmanship, the less we have. All the way down, coach's, players, officials, fans...

Just curious if this would have happened to another official what would of happened. I know a few years ago some officials had tournament games taken from them because of a coach being on the floor. This seems a little worse and I'm sure it will be just brushed off like nothing happened and you will see him officiating at state again next year.

80% of refs are good. 10% are arrogant but good. 10% are either arrogant and bad or just bad. We can probably say same for our work places.

The officials aren't from different regions. It's the same region.
