I actually thought he would just let her go if she got hot, why would he make any changes ? I just hope they have prepared all week like they are playing Jefferson, since a few people think the teams are comparable. That being said I know the coaching staff is one of the best around so that did not happen I am sure.

I was not implying that you thought Kleman would let her go if she got hot. Saying a team is unbeatable if one player gets hot is a pretty bold statement. As a Big Green fan, how could I not respond to that? :P No one said Jefferson was the same team as Arlington, they just happen have a similar style of play. Arlington is clearly a better team than Jefferson and they definitely earned thier spot in the "Sweet 16".

It is a bold statement, when she is good she is quite possibly the best player on the court. The problem is that only happens occasionally.

Banter is about to end, and the truth will come out on the court! This coming from the ultimate "pot stirrer" in Posty

Anytime you play the #1 ranked team, you got to feel a bit nervous about the outcome but I know Arlington is in good hands and will give it one heck of a run tonight. This could be the best atmosphere imaginable for girls basketball so wondering what kind of effect it will have on both teams at start. If either team jumps out front early - it will be a tough atmosphere to come back in, particlarly if Atown can get to em early with pressure.

I think the kids and coach's know that the rankings mean very little, not sure fans understand that, just something for people to talk about. Both of these teams are very good, most of these kids have played in "big" games before. Rivalry games, conference championship games, sectionals and districts. The first few minutes you just want to make sure you don't get any key players in foul trouble and not fall way behind. Some of the key players on both of these teams have played a good amout of AAU summer ball in big games against good competition, I don't think you'll see nerves play much of a part. May the best team tonight win.

Just a solid game by both teams and Congrats to a very, very good Arlington team. Ottoville didn't play their best tonight, but a lot of that had to do with the pressure Arlington's defense put on the ball. The thing I was most impressed with was Arlington made every posession count and for the most part, got a good shot almost everytime down. #14 or #15 off the bench was just a huge shot in the arm for them also. #3 played well and #40 did a great job too. The other guards really played their roles well, pressure defense with solid ball controll.

In the 4th when O'ville was in the 1-1 so early, I thought they could make a run but they didn't capitalize. They were within 3 pts a couple times but couldn't make the shots to tie it up.

O'ville has everything to be proud of and shouldn't hang their heads! Onto the finals for Arlington against a really nice New Riegal team.

Hard first loss of the season. Congrats Ottoville girls on a great season though, it was a blast to cover you all year long.

Wow - I am speechless! This had to be the best girls high school game I have seen. I thought the game had good tempo to it and both teams seemed to play pretty well which equated to a mammoth win for Arlington against a very, very good Ottoville team. I knew they had great size, but when I saw Seifker in person, I was shocked at how tall and strong she was. A very nice player, and a bright future for her to say the least. In the end the difference was 16 TO's to 4 for Arlington. I was also shocked to see Arlington do so well on the boards (24-23 Ottoville for game). I thought Arlington's quickness and athleticism was the difference and it had to be. Several players picked up their game tonight including Alivia Recker, Jordan Webb and Abby Solt. Webb comes off the bench to score 13 including a huge 2 pt basket over Siefker late in the game that seemed to seal the game.

Arlington made a statement tonight, and a big one at that. Time to enjoy the night, and get back to work tomorrow cause I am sure DonnyDonuts and his crew will want some revenge of an UGLY 30 pt loss ealier in the year to Atown on their home court.

Congrats to Atown and Coach Newlove. A great strategy, great execution and great team play. Congrats to Ottoville on a great year as well...we know how you feel after going undefeated all season and having very high expectations heading into tournaments only to lose a heartbreaker.

Not to take away anything from a hard fought game by Arlington. But I thought the difference was the amount of shots that just simply fell for Arlington. You yourself said its going to need take athleticism and some luck in order to advance each and every game. Both teams have athleticism but Arlington had the luck on their side. They had 4 three pointers that either hit the backboard and went in, or had the lucky bounce (aka shooters bounce). Not to mention some unforced turnovers on Ottovilles part. And sometimes you just have nights like that when a few girls on one side is hitting all their shots. Boy that one official was awful though for both teams, probably one of the worst regional official that I have seen in a while. In my mind I thought the momentum changer was the travel called on Koch when Ottoville was up by 3. Not a very good call and I noticed some Arlington fans were shocked and obviously the Otttoville fans not too happy and they have a right because it definitely changed the momentum. Either way it was a great game to watch and congrats to both teams.
