Much more integrity at Elida, better yet, much more care and class. If another school was attacking and had a convict, as you stated, you bet I'd be on it. Not the case tho, just someone with "not all the facts" and the truth is, we know where the real convict is hiding.

...and I know that they have done so as a glorified AAU team, apparently willing to allow convicts to play if that is what is needed to win. I surmise that the adult authority at Elida would gladly give up multiple championships to NOT be like Dayton Dunbar. Which is the point. How you achieve success is every bit as important as achieving that success. If educators fail in teaching that lesson. They have failed. Which explains why the Dunbar example you gave involves a kid who is sitting in jail today. He too was given MULTIPLE chances. He too had adults who put basketball victories above teaching a lesson. One has to wonder if one adult would have had the courage to take away the one thing this kid loved...if the lesson might have been learned...and this kid would not be looking at a lifetime in jail.

Look...just because one soul has not learned to be a respectable member of society does not give an excuse for the adult authority to drag the entire team down to his level.

You guys don't know what your talking about, one person doesn't set the bar for a team. No comparison to Dunbar at all. Like I said lots more other teams to be concerned about with less integrity. Don't cheapen what they, as a team have accomplished, majority top notch student/athletes.

Most, if not all people posting on this thread are not LCC people. I know who you're talking about and I believe he was kicked out of a school in junior high but not for committing a crime. He has since been enrolled at LCC without any recent troubles.....you're obviously a child with either a personal hatred for LCC, the student you are referring to or both. Computer time is over. Clutch, no need to brush, no teeth to brush at my age, but no hatred, just facts, truth. Committing big time crime, your clueless. Maybe no troubles in the last few months, but not too long ago. Have no hatred for any school, just hate when when people throw innocent hard working kids to the wolves, big people shouldn't pick on kids. If Elida wins, they did because they worked very hard as a team. Goodnight, rinse with mouthwash, Clutch after you brush, it kills germs. Nite

Ok, this discussion is getting old. People are just rambling on about the same thing. People act like he went to jail for a major crime. He had disorderly conduct at Elida due to his multiple suspensions, so they had him go to JDC for a few days to try this intervention. He has been suspended for 3 tournament games. Do you ever wonder if he would not get to play again, how that could also negatively influence his life? As I have stated previously, he probably reads our posts so I just want to let him know that I am rooting for you and encouraging you to make a positive change in your ife and I know you can do it! Don't listen to these negative people that want you to fail, it is about them wanting Elida to fail. They have personal agendas against Elida....I mean look at the title of the forum. They act as if you are the only student athlete that has had problems and that something is in Elida's water. The best defense against all this negativity is to prove them wrong and learn from your mistakes. It doesn't make you a bad person. You made bad choices that you can turn around! I am ready to see you back on the court not because it is all about winning but because you have had your lesson! Go Elida!

Let's make this very clear....... you do not go to a juvenile detention center twice within the last month 4 cheating on a test at school......... you go there because you violated your parole or probation......... you do not get that unless you been convicted of something in the past.......... since those records are sealed, we are left to wonder what it was......... if the team wins without him tonight he will be back in uniform this weekend........ he has served his panalty for this time........ let's hope and pray this is the last time

You can be charged with disorderly conduct in school and get a probabtion officer...all the school has to do is file disorderly conduct with the courts and then students can be assigned probation officers...then if the students gets in trouble again, one result is jdc.
