And yet you finished by saying 'I can't see that there is really anything to talk about', and the accusation itself was clearly enough to change your opinion on the matter.

I didn't think I needed to add "If this is true" since I said that it was "alleged."

But he did something to be suspended for five days didn't he? If doing a humping motion to a Freshman didn't get him suspended before, and he got 5 days now, I would say he allegedly did something pretty significant.

colt thats the difference between a student and an adult, its obviously not very funny to the principal if he was suspended, and it really shouldnt be very funny to the teacher.Pretty clear at this point what the problem seems to be someone seems to want to be in a position of authority and refuses to accept the responsibilty that goes with it.

Hey man the kid was very upset that carp got in trouble. If there was a problem "his" family should have did something not others.

I think the mother is just a butthurt POS personally.

Maybe she should pay more attention to her own kid that was just convicted of a felony.

This in no way really helps the kid...especially if he himself laughed the matter off.

Bottom line is don't put yourself in a position to have things happen like this.So we do understand colt it did happen? Just because parents don't want anything done does'nt relieve the school of liabilty as there employee. There come a point to if you dont stop this it continues on and usually gets worse.

well cut to the chase then colt. was the kids balls involved?
I don't have time to get into this right now, but, rather than 'knee to the groin' , I understand it to have been setup for kids to do something they knew carp would respond to and kicked the kid in the butt and 'parts' inadvertently got in the way...... Not at all saying this is acceptable, AT ALL.....but, i believe as someone else touched on it.....two components at work here.....carp being immature & in need of further training (perhaps some self-control/anger management instruction.?).....and 'the others' out for blood and are not gonna rest 'til they get it, no matter how they have to get it done.....sad, sad situation for all of the community.

This whole situation makes Elida look bad.....it really isn't about Carpenter as much as it is about the people in the community....if people are trying to set up Carpenter and he is proud enough to respond...especially in a negative manner....well, nobody wins and Elida as a whole loses!!!!!

Agreed. But it doesn't change the fact that, as a teacher, he needs to make better choices. You have to admit that it is pretty careless, especially if you know that there is an element out to get you.

I also agree elida loses in the end just when it seemed they might be on the right track....i also believe from hearing comments from ppl close to situation that this all started from robbery incident and for whatever reason those ppl have been campaigning around town to gang up and carpenter hasn't responded well

Where there is smoke, there is usually a fire. My observation of this character is that he lacks it.
