106,113, 152 , 170 and 285 seem pretty wide open any thoughts on these weight classes?

This style of tournament favors the full teams with even a little depth. It is not necessarily the first place finishers, but the thirds and fourths that will make the difference. The DIII teams will hold their own at the top, but the WBL teams have the depth. I would look for Bath or Shawnee to take the top spot. Elida is coming off their great football run, which will cost them here; a couple weeks later would have changed things for Elida. DSJ appears to be the best DIII team; LCC is probably next best, but if McCormick does not wrestle as posted, that really hurts them. All others seem to have their good kids, but again, little depth. Jefferson may surprise if they can fill numerous weight classes. Unfortunately, LLima Senior seems to be a non-factor this year, but if coach Fought can keep youngsters out, they will make impact in a few years.

This is the best time of year for this tournament, but it would be nice to see these teams go full tilt when all kids are at weight; seems there are still a number of kids working their way down.

After seeing the seeds above I think the 145 pound champ ends up MVW Lovejoy vs Wilson will be fun. Dukehart vs Gemling will be a good one also 182 is very deep.

In order of placement
106- Lucius DSJ, Marzulli Spen. A very tough weight to predict with alot of unknowns
113- Kuhlman Sh, Rassman DJ, Ellsworth LCC, Donley DSJ. Same as 106 tough to predict
120- Plaugher Sh, Baker AE, Moralez Shx, Brookman Elida. I just got a feeling that Moralez is prob pretty decent he has no choice to survive in that room
126- Plaugher Sh, Arbogast Elida, Bockey Spen, Arthur Shx. Again Shawnee has depth. I believe this will be a fun weight to watch with 4 to 6 guys fairly close.
132- McDermitt Sh, Bible Bath, Troyer Elida, Vermule DJ. Garmatter will be one to watch at this weight.
138- Meeks Bath, Cozadd Bl, Miller Sh, Martin DSJ, Eley LCC, Binkley Spen. the top is the top in this weight then 2 and 3 are close but with seeding we won't know, and 4 through 6 are real close with Martin prob being the best of that group
145- Wilson Bl, Lovejoy AE, Deffenbaugh DSJ, Trent Sh, Brown LS. On paper this should the match of the night but, we wrestle on the mat. I look for Deffenbaugh to have good season
152- Green Elida, Buettner DSJ, Tremoulis LCC, Edinger DJ. The top 3 in this weight are pretty close. I could see Gehle AE getting into the 4 spot if he can stay out of the pool with Temoulis and Green( Which I think is a toss up match)
160- Conyers AE, Looser DSJ, Holycross Elida, Wise Bath. Conyers should win handily but Looser does hold a victory over Conyers
170- Sunderhaus LCC, McAdoo AE, Rabley Bath, Wrasman DSJ, Dukehart Elida. A pretty even weight.
182- Gremling LCC, Dukehart Elida, Shumate Spen, Schwinnen DSJ, Criblez AE, Foust DJ. A deeper weight here that I believe will come down to styles
195- Heiing DSJ, Sackinger Elida, McConnahea DJ, Siefker Bath. Huffman LCC could make things interesting
220- Miller DJ, Krouskop Spen, Haunhorst DSJ, McKinley. The top is well above the rest is pretty even
285- Koronich Bl, Wessell DJ, Vandemark Spen, Ketcham DJx. Pretty nice weight
Tear it up

all the weights look ok except 126..why is bockey sedded higher than plaugher? if i remember correctly, plaugher smashed bockey last year. another one i'm seeing is meeks being seeded 4th at 138 below the lcc kid, what's up with that? should be a great tournament, just think the seeds are a little messed up here.

The seeds are done off last years end of season criteria Meeks did not wrestle Sectionals. Also most of the time last season head to head don't count for much, if you beat someone head to head this season they can fight for a seed. Meeks , and Plaugher are both good enough to win it no matter seed

Joe Arthur? Didn't he win it last year.Shawnee has been wrestling McDermitt at 138, if that happens does Arthur go 32? And I think it would be awesome to see McDermitt and Meeks wrestle again.

Delphos St. John's win the Allen County Invitational, outdistancing runner-up Shawnee and third place Delphos Jefferson.

Where is Mack from Bath? He won WBL's as a freshman and made it to Districts, did he move?

Friends with his dad. They moved to Colorado. He actually posted om Facebook yesterday that his son pinned the #1 ranked D3 wrestler in the state yesterday.
In terms of Meeks, he was just burnt. He more or less wrestled year round for about 10 years. Hope he does well his senior year.
Go Titans!

Taz - Thanks for doing the summary work you presented. 7 of the 10 teams are in the LCC sectional, but this style of tournament rewards averageness, not individual excellence. DSJ appears to be top dog of these 7 teams, but it appears that Bluffton and LCC have as good a shot to compete for top sectional places as Jefferson. Also, it appears that several teams were missing kids or are not yet down to MWC's, so the competition for Lima area honors is far from over.

Congrats to DSJ on the championship and Shawnee on the runner-up. Jefferson and Coach Wilson did an excellent job as well - best wishes to all Lima area teams as the season progresses!

The LCC sectional will be very interesting, with injuries during the season playing a major role in the final outcome. Wayne Trace may have the best shot from the standpoint of returners, but has some open weight classes; DSJ appears to be very balanced, but may not have the top end scorers to prevail. Coldwater will have depth, but also has questions as to how good are their good kids. Bath is an interesting addition coming down from DII, with peny of top talent with Meeks, Bible, etc,. but depth is a question. Grove will fill most weight classes, but again, how good are their good kids? Jefferson performed well at Allen County, but a bracketed sectional is much different than a pool tournament; Wilson is doing a good job with them, but they may be a year or two away from competing for a title. Allen East has quality at the top, without enough weight classes filled; same for Bluffton and LCC. In a sectional with several relatively similar teams, head to head matchups will play a key role. It will be interesting to see where individuals go to avoid the great kids, and how teams align to maximize points. This sectional will provide more interesting competition for the team title than seen in a long time.
